  • Well, I phoned them this afternoon and after a relatively short wait (10 mins!!!) I got through and was told that an offer letter was sent out to me for my 2nd claim on the 20th July:j . They really should change that awful music though.......:rotfl: :rotfl:

However, it hasn't arrived yet  and apparantly there is going to be another postal strike for 2 weeks starting tomorrow at 7.00pm  .

The lady I spoke to said that because it is a legal document she could not disclose its contents over the phone, so I've no idea how much the offer is (originally claiming £2410 incl interest).

I feel myself starting to combust

On a slightly better note, I did find out today that the money claimed and accepted for my other account should be in the bank by 3rd August :T so at least that's something!!

Thanks guys, I'll keep you posted!
  • Thanks martin and everyone on this board!!!

Had an offer today of £808.35 from HSBC was claiming £1200 inc intrest but accepted as really need the money:beer:

Thanks just waiting for MBNA to sort out there second offer!!!!

    Good luck eveyone:T
  • Hey...... guess what?????

I arrived home from work, and hidden amongst some junk mail which I'd received was my letter from HSBC! :T

I nearly chucked it out!!!!

In it was an offer for over £1900 ( my claim was for £2100 without interest) :j :T :rotfl:

So I will hot foot it to the post office tomorrow and send back the acceptance letter and wait for the money to roll in to my account :j :j

I am so pleased!!! So that's a total of over £3600 claimed back!!!!

Anyone wondering whether to wait the 8 weeks or go down the court route, my advice would be to wait the 8 weeks.... far less stressful, only costs the amount of a couple of letters sent recorded delivery, and a couple of months down the line a lovely chunk of money!!!!

Thanks for everyone's support!!! I'll keep you posted and let you know when the money comes through  :j  :j

  • Hi,

I'm due to go to court with HSBC on the 14th August and I've had a letter from the court to say that I need to send copies of all documents on which I intend to rely on at the hearing to HSBC and the court by 31st July.

I already sent a list of the charges and interest calculations.

Does anyone know what I should send and what else I need to do to prepare?

Getting nervous now so any help appreciated!

You'll find a link in Martin's article to the Court Bundle at the CAG forums and a link to the Checklist for Court Bundle thread in the Reclaim Help Thread which is linked in my signature. Have a read of MimiJane's posts in that thread as she is the expert!

You'll find its fair amount of printing out of documents etc, three copies of everything, and it might be an idea to phone and see if HSBC will settle.
