    Hi,

Apols if this has already been covered - I've scanned - but 207 pages is a lot to get through!
I sent my first letter earlly may got a letter back asking for a full itemised list of charges. Sent this early June. Didn't hear anything so sent second letter at end of June. Still haven't heard anything?

Is no-response a common tactic? Do they play the "we haven't received your letters card?"

Just wondering whether to wait, resend last letter, or move to FOS or Court.

    Any advice?

    Hi ya

On the first letter you sent them did you breakdown the charges ie: amount/ date ? if so then should have a reply within eight weeks of that letter with an offer. otherwise you can proceed with financial odbusman or court. If as you say wrote to them early May with all the details required then your eight weeks is up and you should now ring them and find out exactly where your claim stage is up to.

    good luck

    lou x:D

Well you should get it tonight for definite!

  • I would give them a ring and ask them to confirm the date they received your first letter. They then have 8 weeks from this date to respond to your claim.

    Thx.
Which number is best to ring - the general customer service number?

    Hiya everyone

Just to let you know, I sent HSBC a letter asking for my charges back (with dates and charges etc) They received it on the 31st May, and today July 23rd I got my charges back! Its only £460 but better in MY pocket! They sent me a letter saying to sign here and send it back and that the money would be in my account within 14days.
