    Hi all,

Don't think I'm going t have a v OS day as I just got home after my operation yesterday and I'm not really allowed to do anything productive- I hate sitting down doing nothing but promised OH i wouldn't even try and TBH I feel in some pain anyway so it wouldn't be wise. So I'll just read all the posts I've missed on here the past few days.

    Sarah.
Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams :)

    Hello Everybody,

I've been to work today. Got home and made a banana cake. Will make some slices etc tomorrow arv after work. I"m going to a Xmas in July craft night tomorrow night and been asked to bring some food along. I'm not all that crafty so it will be a challenge to do something and for it to look half way decent. I think I've got my name down to do a angel. Bit like me really. :D

Hope you have a speedy recovery sarah and don't overdo it.
Good luck with the job interview ancasta.

Hope you all have a nice day. Be good, if not be careful. ;)
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Hello everyone - you all seem so busy already and I am still in my PJ's after watching house programmes on the TV and looking at the Internet! Have got one load of washing done but I seriously need to get of my bum and start packing for the Henhog family holiday which starts tomorrow! Might have one more cup of tea first...
Made an apple crumble yesterday - read in Delia that you can put any fruit into a crumble but for some reason First Born and OH both stopped me from putting in some three week old kiwi fruit as well as the apples! Some people.
Good luck with all the job interviews - I hate them myself and even worse is waiting for the phone call.
I laughed when I read about the tasteless tinned toms - I always buy the cheapo ones, but when I was at inlaws house, I had Waitrose premium brand ones on toast, OMG - they were absolutly lovely, mmmm, they actually tasted of tomatoes!
    Have a good day everyone.

Made a list and im heading off from work as early as i can get away, hurt my neck and back in Asda yesterday struggling with a trolley in the car park. owies so im using that as an excuse to go and right a letter of complaint.. nothing much they can do as it was in the car park and i dont have any proof.. except a bad back! One of them funny magnetic theft stopper things got jammed when i tried to get down a curb and ai pulled something. i have no luck i tell thee.

Gotta ring Mr Man about the job so will edit the post when i have done that to let you all know how it goes.

Make some Everyday nutty biscuits (i ate the glace cherries lastnight ;) )
Make some Katies Potaties - Will post recipe once ive done
Turn over some soil from the front garden (back and neck permitting)
    Wash a pile of dishes
Continue working on the Wig im halfway through
Dye hair, deep condition, pedicure and manicure (im in a girly treat mood)

Was up early this morning and got 2 loads of washing on the line before breakfast. After a hospital appointment i had a leisurely look round the shops. Spent the grand total of 99p on impulse buys (wow!) and managed to get some try-me-free comfort pearls (i know it's not distilled vinegar but these are free!). Also got some clothes in woolworths. Got both kids a summer pack-a-mac type summer jacket for £1.50 each (from £8.99) and they also had some school T-shirts on offer. A 2-pack of school T-shirts with a collar, had been £4.99 a pack and they were selling them for £1 a pack and there was a 3for2 promotion on. At £2 for 6 Ladybird T-shirts i had to get some.... for my son who doesn't start school 'till 2006 and my daughter in 2008

Not much of an OS day I'm afraid. I'm stuck out of the way on the computer until 3pm. Hubby sitting his OU exam downstairs with an invigilator. Shhhh! don;t make too much noise!

Had a quite un-OS weekend at a literary festival. Camping, so fairly OS, but didn't have time to cook the food we'd taken, so spent £15 on three lots of falafel over the three days...plus other take-away food! Boyfriend spent £6 on fudge, from which he's still feeling sheepish...but I told him he should feel fine, he almost NEVER treats himself to anything, and it was the BEST (and local) fudge we've ever tasted. Yum!

Anyway...found my local fruit and veg shop has a new loyalty card. You pick up a card, and collect ink-stamps. The first one is done for you, and then you get one for every £3 you spend (which I thought was a very realistic, friendly amount), and on the tenth stamp, instead of a stamp, you get 20% discount on that transaction. very nice, as it costs nothing to do. I wish they were open Sundays, as I only get there occasionally on Saturdays, but I will make more of an effort! I'm always amazed anyway by how much I come away with for so little cash!

Tesco points coming along nicely. Last vouchers were £4, but this time we're already over the £8 mark! This is from buying things with extra points attached (things we'd buy anyway, but buying them early etc etc...), and from getting my boyfriend's points added to my card. NOW they have the key-fob thing, so he can always credit the card with his weekly shop, too. Smashing. I hate Tesco, and I hate corporate spying and blackmail...but I can be bought for a few quid towards my Christmas port and Corvoissier (which I will be buying in September to avoid their other cons, I guess!)!

Must make bread tonight and get the house back to normal after many weeks of packing and unpacking it seems...
