I am typing this in the library as my computer is on the blink.
Spent weekend on my knees grovelling around the kitchen as my "intelligent"
washing machine will not drain - rinse or spin and keeps telling me that it is blocked.

After manually draining the thing 7 times and extracting various coins that my darling daughters had left in their clothes - that then ended up in the depths of the machine - we admitted defeat and someone is coming tomorrow to look at the thing.

Dirty washing is piling up and I am fed up!!!!!!!!

Made home made potato salad for tonight and will make bread or rolls later.

    any word from Queenie?

    evening all :)

busy busy at work today, so not terribly O/S... ah well. Am currently enjoying one of the muffins I made on Saturday for my tea break so it's not all bad!

Off out when I eventually get free from the grindstone (at 8...) and then home for half 11(ish) when I'll either start cooking up my lunches for the rest of the week, or go to bed and set my alarm so I can do it in the morning :D
Pre O/S: what's a vitamin? Does it begin with the letter e?Now: I'm not eating any of that pre-made rubbish...

    Monday, Monday, Monday...ho hum...

Last week I broke a tooth (the fourth tooth in two years, what is happening to me!?) so I spent my lunch break at the dentist today. She gave me two injections however they had no effect whatsoever on my gum/lip - so I've still got a tooth requiring repair. I have another appointment for next week. Luckily she is NHS - I am new to the area and that was the first practice I tried...couldn't believe my luck. Unfortunately the cute boy dentist has left the practice, never mind...

Today was a better working day than most as our horrible moody sulky princess of a colleague is now away on a two week break. The atmosphere in the office was jovial...even people outside the department noticed that we all were very happy today. I think we have a reputation for being collectively grumpy as usually there is no chat, no laughing, no banter...just strained silence. What a dump, wish management would get their ar*es in gear and sort this problem out.

I've been home for a while but I am not a bit hungry this evening. I'm off for a long dander around a local forest park. I will undoubtedly stuff my face when I get back.

    Bye everyone!

It was on the freebies board a couple of weeks ago, I just checked it and it appears that the offer has ended, but was at:

    http://www.kencocoffeepods.com/kenco/page?siteid=kenco-prd&locale=uken1&PagecRef=187

There is usually always a coffee offer on at:

    http://www.bettysandtaylors.co.uk/frame.asp

but it seems its not available at present - im sure that will be back soon too.

I always check out the freebies board on a regular basis, some good offers on there!! The kenco one has come up before, so I guess it will be done again, the freebie bods will post again if they see it!! Virgin mobile free sim cards today if anyones interested - free delivery too!

well today was my first day off in ages, so me and the oh made the most of it and had a lazy "ahem" couple-y "coughcough" slow start to the morning ;)

nephew was in the house again today so i gave him his dinner whilst MIL (who was babysitting) went to her aqua aerobics. when she got back went to tescos to get a butternut squash for my amazing jambalaya type concoction (see the recipe thread).

spent the afternoon filing paperwork and gettingmy study ready for the new uni term. have to clear space in the room so i can get the cases in to pack for holidays...only a matter of time now, im soooo excited :D

OH helped me cook tea which went down a storm with the whole family, so i think i can safely say i will be making it again. was going to make a banana loaf cake, but we are a bit low on marg, so that will have to wait til the morning. i currently have a gratin in the oven for tomorrows tea (using up the remaining butternut squash and a few dodgy looking potatoes), so thats one less thing to worry about.

im now have a nice relaxing nosey around the net, enjoying having some time to myself, and, inspired by the hobbies thread, and planning ways to make more time for myself on a regular basis.

going to do some banking tonight, have just sorted out my share of the insurance on the OH's car, so as of this weekend i can get my L plates on it and rattle around (if you're in the cardiff area look out for a peacock blue fiesta :D :rotfl: ). also have money to pay into my ing account, and im going to set up direct debits from mine and OHs account to an ing pot to help cover any expenses that may crop up with the car. i figure we wont miss £2 a week each, but it soon builds up and will be a great help if god forbid anything else goes wrong with the poor old brum brum.

tonight im going to make a start on my recipe and try to get an early night - have another driving lesson tomorrow so i want to be alert and ready to take on the rush hour traffic.

    all the best, emma

This morning I got cleaning the tiles above the window in my kitchen. The grout always goes mouldy so I was standing on the sink unit scrubbing at it with a toothbrush and some toothpaste nobody liked. Its better but not perfectly white.
I bought 2 spray bottles in Wilkinsons yesterday for my vinegar so I can now spray and clean. It's much easier than pouring some on a cloth and wiping.
This afternoon I bought my son 2 shirts,2 pairs of trousers,2 ties,a T shirt with eagles on and a zip fronted knitted jacket/cardigan all for £14 in various charity shops .All apart from the T shirt are for 6th form college,as they have a dress code.Being home schooled he didnt possess any ordinary shirts or trousers at all ,only t shirts and combats.
I found a large steel casserole for £2 to replace my old earthenware one which cracked in the oven. The kids are pleased as Risotto always comes out better when cooked in the oven.We had liver and bacon for tea with baked potatoes.
I dug the garden for an hour. It's been raining for 2 days so the earth was much easier to break up than when we had hot sun.
Off to have a cuppa now and watch TV.

    Morning all!

Well, I know im not the first on here this morning, but it would appear no-one has started the thread so here goes!!

Today, I have a job interview, then ill come back and do laundry. Im then going to sit down and do some quilting, its coming on leaps and bounds so im getting quite into it now! (read: cant put it down!)

Tonight will be home made burgers, already made the mince stuff etc, all I have to do is shape and cook them, and do the other bits. Might do some homemade garlic and rosemary wedges too, with sour cream and chive dip.

I intend to watch TV tonight, and get an early night, im up early today to try and get my sleeping pattern a little bit more normal!

On that, id better get ready, have to leave in an hour!!
