    Hello everyone.

Spent last night cleaning my kitchen - Kim and Aggie would be proud :D The rest of the house has been hit by my own personal tornados, but I'm off to mum's in a mo to do her cooking/cleaning/shopping. Then it's a quick whip round Tesco for fridge essentials and NOTHING more then home to tidy (again) before Mr TM gets home tonight. Will be retrieving my Vax from my sister today so will be able to spend my evenings cleaning carpets (deep joy) due to DS2 not getting the hang of this toilet training lark!! :( I swear, he's worse than a puppy at times.

Must get mum's overlocker so I can put it on ebay - an identical one went for quite good money this weekend, so here's hoping.

See ya later - cleaning calls.... :(

Good morning from miserable kent....and what a welcome to the start of the summer hols!!!

Managed to persuade the kids that this morning was to be a "lie in bed and don't disturb me" morning. DH got up early and snuck out to work and left me in bed - feeding the kids on the way - they both then went back to bed and we all woke at 10.20am!!!!!! We're all now lazing about with toast and tea and wondering if we really should get dressed.

Had a good OS weekend, did a big ASDA shop - it's about 20 miles away from me but I had vouchers to use up so was worth the trip. Managed to get new school shoes for DD1 reduced to £6 in there too, combined with the £9.80's worth of vouchers it was enough to make anyone smile.

Also popped into the local designer outlet thingy and picked up some reduced candles on Buy two get one free, for MIL's birthday next week (2 lots for her - one for me) Popped into marks and sparks there too and they had some nice wands and hairband/tiarra sets reduced to £1 - very pink and fluffy but just right for a couple of xmas pressies. Body shop also had DH's smellies he liked reduced to 2 for £1, the moisturinsing spray I use was down to 85p each Buy two get one free and some little mini animal washmitts at 50p a pack - (great stocking fillers).

Whilst in asda picked up a huge turkey leg reduced to 29p, some fresh chicken portions down to 89p (about 8 in the pack) and sausages there were 100% extra free but down from £1.48 to £1.08 (for 24 lincolnshire sausages - bargin). Had trouble fitting it all in the freezer mind!!

Made chicken stock over the weekend and picked enough meat out to make a decent soup - been freezing all the bits of veg that have been on the turn so they can all be dumped in too - going to have that tonight followed by jacket potatos as the weather is so miserable.

Anyway - back to lazing about......have a good one all.

    morning all!

well, today I finally handed in my notice at work - to become a student again! I can't quite believe that I have given up a salary, but when I become a hotshot lawyer I am ure that will make up for it.

Right, time to tighten the OS belt and get money saving. I can't wait for Martin's new book to come out.....wish he would hurry up :P :D

Right, got the afternoon off work, so going to tackle the finances, attack the bathroom with the vinegar spray and do the ironing. Then I'm going to treat myself to a trip to the local greengrocers.

good luck with your holiday S-P sounds great place to visit.

TM - I love your new Avatar

Pooky - wish I could find bargains like yours. My yellow sticker find last week was a ready meal reduced from £3.49 to £1.99 which was a coconut curry with nan bread - the sdupermarkets premium range so it's in the freezer for the weekend as a treat!

Squeaky - hope the kitchen comes together eventually! :J

Hello everyone from sunny Queensland :D ,

I've had a really thrilling day today (not). Cleaned the house, did all the laundry and went for our grocery shop. I did a beef roast in my crock pot and it turned out yummy. I am trying to work out now how to include a photo in a thread but I can't seem to work it out. I keep pressing the little box yellow box but it just says "ING" Might look at it another time. Hope you all have a great day as I will be hitting the sack soon.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

If you have the web link to your pictures, *link* should work or just paste the link in to the thread.

It's a minor problem with the editor you are using. In our Welcome sticky (clue in my signature) there's a set of links at the bottom and one of them is a direct link to the great Guide by sra on how to do this.

    HTH :)

  • Why is Queensland sunny when Adelaide is dark and cold and miserable????? No fair! Did a BIG load of washing, cooked a stirfry with some rubberry carrots which otherwise would have been binned, cared for my friend the herbgarden :)
Have just had my last day of work for now so an empty but very OS week ahead- lots of cooking and freezing and even more baking me thinks.
