Gardening most of the day.How can brambles grow so tall in 2 weeks?
    HM bread.
Chicken stew for tea.I found 2 nearly full cones of wool in the colour DD wants her next jumper knitted in for ....25p each so must hunt out the patterns now. Her old 'knitty jumper' is really getting too small now but she does love it.
OH has just finished selling his old motorbike bits (ebay) and is quite pleased with the results as it had broken down in a big way and he had to buy another second hand one (cheaper than mending the first).
I did this myself with a kenwood chef that had a broken motor ,it was a swap but was supposed to have a spare motor to mend it with ,sadly when I got it ,I found it had a broken motor but only a spare gearbox.(I took it to bits and sold them seperately) you'd faint at the price kenwood charge for even small parts. They went like hot cakes.

Hello to Fairylights, and hello to Benjacksmum!! Its nice to have some more friendly faces join the gang!!

I say that, as I just had a little browse on a few other forums, and again was shocked at the abuse going on. I got my 'mum' hat on again and told a few people off. I quite enjoy putting a pleasant reply on to them, and so far have quite a good success rate - as they dont often post nasty things back, and sometimes even get a 'thanks' from them  . Im not a mum incidentally, I just feel that there is a rowdy brood of children out there that need telling, please Db, dont slap PFP round the head as it is not nice, and ill slap your bum if you do it again.

Anyway, some success on the job front today ( :j ) as the agency decided to finally give me some temp work (temp ongoing, just one weeks notice if i find perm work elsewhere and I can do it as long as I need). It starts tomorrow (booooooo), but its in a shop, its reasonable ish pay, and its 6 days a week, so ill actually have enough money to move soon! YEY! Still going to my interviews though, I need a decent mentally challenging career so my brain stops developing cobwebs.

The house I saw on a website (to rent) however, I cant have and am feeling annoyed as sin    , as the owners will only allow a married couple to move in. Another similar one, will not allow even a goldfish. So its back to square one. Boyf has been looking for work today, and as I am working tomorrow, I shall be giving him a notepad, a pen, and the phone, with a big list of agents to call around to make viewing appointments, as I desperately want to leave the student scumhole we are currently in (for those who dont know, by a busy road, on the other side is a noisy train line, the landlord doesnt know what he is doing, the contractors replacing carpets etc keep leaving DOORS wide open when they leave (I mean - how bloody stupid??? Do they live in a barn??).

Anyway - I havent cooked all day, I crumbled when boyf mentioned KFC, although they gave me a zinger tower instead of a tower, and I hate zing. Im about to go make something that resembles dinner though, then I have to hand wash a few things, get stuff ready for work, and print some NHS stuff for the interview on wednesday. And then, get round to selling myself too, on the final job application form I have. All the rest got posted today (:T to me).

Right, gotta go! Have a lovely evening!

    Jo xx

Got the breadmaker bits, tried making bread (third attempt had some success) not impressed... but then I have been spoiled forever by the local italian bakery, sticking with my 50%rye sunflower seed bread, its the best, if you don't believe me PM me and I will put a slice in a jiffy bag!

But hello to the new people! And also hello squeaks, I miss your posts especially... even if you do take the p**s because I think shoes are essential! :D

Morning everyone (and Jamiedodger in particular as you're the first one here to bagsy your seat:D)

Can't sleep, so I got up and now feel tired. Grrr. Life is so unfair.

Completed my application for latest job yesterday, fingers crossed I get an interview even though it was a not brilliant school. At the end of the day, a job is a job. I also went for "interview" lessons yesterday with a local head to sort out what I should be saying. Basically, I'm doing everything I should be so it should only be a matter of time - but with the school hols starting at the end of this week, a matter of time may well be prolonged! :(

OH bought me the new Harry Potter book, bless him. I know, silly me for not queuing up at midnight on Friday, but a cash flow crisis (ie no money) put a stop to that. Still got most of the books that I ordered from the library to read first though. Oh well.

We're having some friends over tonight for a barbeque, so I'm in charge of preparing everything. Got some potatoes to turn into potato salad and lots of yummy lettuce etc for a salad garnish. Pudding will be a fruit salad - strawbs, rasps, grapes. Mmmmm, yum yum. If I don't eat it all beforehand! :D

Still chipping away at my ironing. Nearly there. :)

    Morning All,

    Wow you're up early!!:D

Well after the school run I'm back home to have a tidy up and bake some banana muffins from a recipie posted on here.

Then DD is going to make a flag (hopefully not with paints:eek:) to wave DS on in his sports day this afternoon. It looks like it's going to be a lovely sunny day so it should be good fun.

JAMIEDODGER Hope you and your DD have fun at playschool

Vicky A Have fingers x'd that you get an interview
