Big hugs to everyone who needs them especially Moggins, I'll keep my fingers crossed that it turns out to be harmless. Congrats on the good luck Sueaky , sounds great.
I'm being OS lazy today, I couldn't sleep last night and I did some gardening yesterday so my Arthritis is very bad today. I shall just have a quick tidy round and then relax all day although I have to make a meat pie for tea, I promised MrW I would as a treat for him. I cooked the meat in the slow cooker and have some pastry in the freezer so it won't take long.
Have a good day all.0 -

Due to hairdressing disaster I am going to console myself with chocloate & series 9 of the X-files which was delivered this morning and leave the window cleaning until later in the day.
Why can't hairdressers understand the difference between 2 inches & 5 inches? Now I'm stuck with hair which is sitting on the back of my neck but too short to be tied back & has to be blow dryed to give it any style at all....hardly ideal in the height of summer and when tiem to blow dry is about to become a precious commodity! Grrrrrr........:mad:Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p
In England we have Mothering Sunday & Father Christmas, Mothers day & Santa Clause are American merchandising tricks:mad: Demonstrate pride in your heirtage by getting it right please people!0 -

(((hugs))) to moggins too. Whatever you want in the way of virtual pampering, let us know and I'm sure we'll all oblige. Hope all goes well for you.
Lillibet - glad you're not on the ladder. However, I'm a fine one to talk. At 7 1/2 months plus with DS2, I was still to be found clambering into the attic, cos Mr TM could never find anything. This however meant climbing to the top of a step ladder and then hauling yourself up the last bit - not always easy when not preggers. Didn't tell Mr TM what I was doing tho
I was soooo organised this morning, going into town. List written, order of shops and everything, timed right so I could get DS2 to pre-school in time. Drove into town, parked in last available parking space, picked up bag..... and found I'd left my purse at home. It's all Martin's fault. I'd taken my purse out at the last minute to stick the stamps on the 'free bumper sticker' envelopes!! Thus, let out of car park without paying - only had 1p on me, drive home and back again (waving merrily at mobile speed camera each time) so had to charge round town. Poor DS2 had to run
Got him to school on time and was going to do my cleaning at my leisure, only next door's 12 yo is here as they have shut his school as no water!! He may be here tomorrow too. At least he can entertain DS2 then
Oh and bought my breadmaker. Went for the Russell Hobbs Breadman Ultimate on special in Argos as couldn't really afford £100 for the Panasonic. The RH seems to get good write ups anyway, but I here the recipe book is rather lacking. Haven't opened it yet but will report back when I do.
OK, salad is eaten, tea awaits and so does the next round of laundry and cleaning.0 -
hi all,
squeaky congrats!!
moggins big hugs to you x
did loads of baking yesterday....trying to reserve one day a week to do all biccys and cakes (my lot are gannits!!)
bought a easiyo maker and tried my first batch at lunch today.....delicious! had it with strawberries and the baby had some with the easiyo raspberry sauce mixed in. i bought one because i buy 40+ fromage frais a week and because of the cost of them have been buying "value" ones and am convinced that there must be next to nothing of any nutritional value in them, plus older boys found they werent big enough..usually consuming 2 or 3 at any one sitting!!!!! so buying an easiyo was for me a good purchase (and bought out of PMS!!!!!)
easy dinner tonight...kids pick out of freezer what they want (stuff left over from the ole iceland days lol)
went to tesco to food shop today...spent £11.00 and that was mainly different flours, sugars and eggs plus tbags and squash...its amazing how much my trolley contents have changed since i have been OS!! even had enough PMS to take advantage of kids clothing sale picking up 2 t shirts at 1.50 each, one for each of my little ones! doing PMS challenge is great i always seem to have money to use towards sales or must have bargains instead of putting on my credit card like before and always paying more in the long run because of interest payments!!!
anyone else wondering where queenie is???????
take care all

Big hugs to everyone on the Old Style. We evidently all need them today (((((HUG))))
Went for my interview today, and I didn't get itI'm pretty upset about it, but I'm sure that something will crop up? So........ if anyone knows of ANY primary school that needs a lovely teacher, just let me know.
Since I got back, I've made a cup of tea then erm, switched on the computer. If I'd got the job, OH was going to take me out for a slap up meal. As it is, I'm going to have to cook supper and go back to my meal plan - probably why I didn't get the job as slap up meal wasn't on the menu planner!
Need to do some ironing, but having another cup of tea is more interesting at the momentSealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0
