Sheesh! It really is awful when you feel that there are some days where you just can't win.

Personally I'd allow myself a short while to have a good wallow and a bit of pampering...

THEN give myself a good kick where I need it most!

  • Hiya Moggins fingers and all other limbs crossed for today - let us all know how it goes and, as Troo says, feel sfree to come and have a good rant if you need one.

Ancasta - your OH must be easier swayed than mine. We have been to the Chine3se a few times but he always has crispy duck (no spring onions and no sauce) - which is a nightmare if, like me, one is on Weight Watchers - 7.8 points points per pancake and I am only allowed 18 all day! He then will have something like beef and mushrooms, but with chips he he! He definitly doesnt do curry and wont really do Italian - he is an English grub kinda guys.

Ah well, he goes out every Monday night with the boys so I get to have somrthing spicy and stink the kitchen out with it he he!

moggins - (((hug))) guilty about 'slacking off' today, just as long as your not moping around the place too much *helps ancasta get moggin's moving* :D

lillibet - please get off that ladder woman - your giving me canaries! :)

Squeaky - cooker sounds fab. Now your baking can really take shape.

    hello to eveyone else :hello:

I was OS last night and managed to do lots of vinegar cleaning in the space of ten minutes - it was a v quick wipe round! Have the parents arriving at 6pm tonight - poached the salmon for the salad last night when I got back from the golf. Hoping Mum will be impressed with my efforts!

    Have a fun day

I started to do some ironing but it is just too hot!!!

Dear daughter has a sports day that starts at 1.30 so that will take up most of afternoon.

Got turkey burgers (additive free) for £1.49 and bogof at Sainsbury's last night - they should have been £2.49 per pack and ended up as 75P per pack.

We are having 2 packs for tea (hubby and me will have salmon if I can find it in the freezer) with home made potato salad, baby courgettes and fresh peas (peas and courgettes were 20p per pack!)

    Hello everyone

Sorry to hear about your bad news Moggins, keep your chin up.
I had to drive our dogs about 1 1/2 hours away so they could have thier rabies shots & the microchips for thier pet passports. Took DD who has a cold and had today off work. Big help as one of our dogs gets car sick. Yukky.

My mum not doing well. She has dementia and is in a nursing home not far from me. About 3/4 hours drive away. I usually visit every Wed so called them to let them know I am going down tomorrow. Doctor saw her Monday night and he thinks it's the start of pneumania (sp). So I will see her tomorrow. It's been a horrible journey seeing her deteriorate with this disease. She hasn't known me for a few years now. She was such an intelligent capable women.

Have a nice day to you all
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Beef in black bean sauce with fried rice for my OH. Occasionally he has chicked foo yung if i "accidentally" order wrongly for him.

Luckily starterwise he is quite good. He loves spare ribs,. spring rolls, wantons, prawn toasts(he makes bloody lovley home made ones) and duck rolls.

MMMM duck rolls. Any one fancy driving to newcastle to come to a chinese buffet with me. hee hee hee

(((Moggins))) - fingers crossed that the exam finds that it's nothing sinister, and don't beat yourself up if you're not up to much at the mo. I think you deserve a wee bit of pampering right now.

(((ancasta))) - enjoy the space and freedom of the remote ;)

(((AussieLass))) - sorry to hear about your Mum. We went through much the same with my Grandma last year and it's very sad.

Am at work all day again, so not terribly O/S... Spent my reward Amazon voucher on the new harry potter book :D so hopefully I'll have that to read over the weekend (or soon, anyway) and I've arranged to go to the pictures tonight to see Mr&Mrs Smith and Batman as my friend is working tonight (he's a projectionist) and can get me in for nowt :D so all I need to pay is £2.50 for the taxi home (it's not a nice area for a bus, later at night). I could theoretically go and see War of the Worlds as well, but that might make my head explode and would be a heck of a late night too
Pre O/S: what's a vitamin? Does it begin with the letter e?Now: I'm not eating any of that pre-made rubbish...
