Jo - I had salmon for dinner last night. I steamed it in a bamboo steamer over a pan of water for about 10 mins. On top of the fish I places some thick slices of garlic, chilli and spring onion as well as a wedge of lemon.
To serve I cooked some noodles in the pan of boiling water creating the 'steam', drizzled with toasted sesame oil when done and added a few more raw spring onions, chopped, along with a generous squeeze of lemon juice. I can recommend it. While I'm thinking about it, I should ahve steamed the other fillet at the same time to have cold with salad tonight...........oh well. I can't be 100% organised all the time lol
Today I am performing slightly better than yesterday. I think the iced coffee from starbucks is helping
Anyway, golfing tonight and I am currently trying out the new johnson's product, which is a moisturiser that works to build up a 'natural' fake tan. So far so good - very soft skin, but no colour change. will keep you updated.
TM - I hope that your DS2 is OK about his fish. I like your idea of them going on a holiday :rotfl:
:hello:r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
When our goldfish were floating on their backs I swore blind that they "were sleeping" and would have woken up by the time they got back from school - they did but seemed to look slightly different!
Got a real bargain of a school jumper for £1 (instead of £16) for dear daughter and got some books by favourite author fron charity shop for 30 pence each."This site is addictive!"

Afternoon all - After getting up at some stupid hour this morning to start work for 7am I'm absolutly shattered. Had 3 little ones today and they've all been on good form. All left half an hour ago so I've plonked my bum on a chair for half an hour with a cup of tea.......we did manage to make some cakes this morning (not easy with 3 under 3) but that's about it for today - dinner is homemade pies from the freezer with oven chips and peas and then a glass of wine and a deep bath............bliss
I won't even think about the "doing it all again tomorrow"......"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
