Math, I totally agree with you. I love the sun, even if I have to be at work seeing the sun shine really lifts my mood and makes me feel more positively about everything. And noting beats summer evenings sitting outside with a glass of wine or eating dinner al fresco...heaven!

Another hot day today I think, I'm one of these that melts in the sun so I will keep inside as much as possible, having said that I've just spent 10 minutes cutting half of my lettuces, not to eat but to compost, they have bolted and are now getting bitter, luckily I have more planted but they are about 2 weeks away from ready.

Today is auction veiwing day so geat fun, I can plan my next 3 weeks ebaying when I get to see whats on offer, there is the small matter of other bidders but that's tomorrows problem

It's bin day today and in this weather I feel so sorry for the collectors, not only are they working hard outdoors I'm pretty certain that some of the bin bags will be disgusting and if they burst

Back to the garden now before it gets too hot

    Hello there:D

Today I plan to finish some tidying up before it gets too hot, although it's very overcast here at the moment. I have a huge ironing pile as I found a bag of summer clothes in the loft so I though I'd better wash them all, so I've doubled the size of the pile. I need to do some more washing, but theres a tent up in the garden;) . We bought it second hand and thought we should see if it's o.k, before we go on hols.

Plan to cook something with some chicken bresast dug out from the freezer this morning, cook a loaf of bread and entertain a grouchy 2yo, who got up too early this morning.

good luck with the auction a-t, I love auctions, wish I was going with you.

    Have a good day everyone.

Good morning. I have been away for the weekend, & yesterday my sister rang to ask if I & ds would like to go somewhere for the day. Tough decision, stay at home & get on with housework or go out....hmmm A day trip to Southend won. Found shop called poundland where everything is £1, bought some photo paper, a washing line & couple of other things, including 1 present (but can't be bothered to put that on the Christmas thread)
So today, ds has schoolwork & I have housework to get on with. Oh joy!
Still, it looks as if it will be a nice day, if a bit cloudy.
Oh, and dh finished the conservatory yesterday, so now it is all decorated & I just need to get a lamp & perhaps a picture for the wall.
    Have a nice day everyone!

Slept in this morning so i didnt have time to make packed lunches or do any washing.... im so silly.
Got some nice gammon ready for OH's tea and some yummy cold meat salad for myself (the prepacked meat from aldi is fabulous!)
Im not a summer person but this year i refused to sit in shirts and t shrits and swelter so im going to asda tonight to buy some more vest tops.. well for £2.75 you cant grumble if i get a full seasons wear outo f them.

Was meant to be taking OH for a nice meal at TGI fridays tonight ( i have a bogof coupon that he doesnt know about) to say bon voyage for him going to London for 5 weeks but i dont know if i can be bothered.....after the stressful and overheating journey home i never feel like going out. Was really bad and bought a boots meal deal for dinner today, BUT.... BUT... i got extra points and got, for some reason, my apple wedges and snackajacks as a BOGOF and ofcourse the 2 cokes for £1.29 so not too bad.

Will update later as to how my OS day has gone..... got some major new job hunting to do while at work ;)

    Morning All

Have woken up after a very bad nights sleep with a thundering headache so think I might be abandoning my self appointed task of cleaning the windows & just crawling back to bed for a couple of hours.
Hubby is outside staining the fence, thankfully after yesterdays DIY at least he has put on some shorts today:D
Supposed to be going to see war of the worlds this afternoon but think I will see how my headache is. Oh dear....and there's washing up in the sink & laundry to be sorted & ......why couldn't I get a headache on a unbusy day???????

Well, DS1 packed off on his school trip - watch out at Blackpool Zoo :D

Bit of a trauma for DS2 - his fish all got some sort of lurgy and died overnight - even the plec. (there were only 3 anyway) So, I've told him the fish have gone on their hols whilst we cleaned the tank. I'll get some more at a suitable moment - but a different sort.

Washing on line, shopping list written, mystery shopping job done (phone) and this afternoon's one prepared for (it will pay my petrol to go to Aldi/Lidl :)) Another salad for tea - I may have some trout in the freezer, otherwise tinned tuna and I'll do a pizza for the boys to tuck into.

Off to clean bathrooms and put breadmaker on - although not necessarily in that order.

    Have a lovely day

Originally I was planning on cleaning the house today BUT my washing machine has just about died soooo.... I'm searching the internet looking for a good deal (prefereably under £250) as this one is a Servis model with 900 spin and about 5 years old, used daily and it was free (it used to belong to our old landlady but she said we could have it when we moved out) so I'm not too worried about replacing it. Ah well, back to searching
