    Morning All

Washing is on, breadmaker is on, kitchen & bathrooms are cleaned, lounge & dining rooms are dusted & tidied. No baking to do as Mum visited Saturday & brought loads of pies & cakes:D About the only things left for me to do are dust the bedroom & wash the bathroom floor but to be honest they don't really need it!!!!
Hubby is home today, he is currently wandering around in only his underpants & slippers with a drill in his hand trying to put up shelves & swearing a lot! Does anyone else have trouble with their OH's not wanting to get dressed in this weather & making a big fuss about spirit levels & raw plugs or is it just me??:confused::rotfl:

Washed my hair (will have a bath tonight - our water doesn't like 2 people trying to have a bath within about 2 hours of each other ) over the bath and I've left it to dry on its own again so it's looking a little bit healthier. :o Ironed DD's school dress and a shirt for OH (he didn't need it, but I had the iron on so I decided to iron until the news came to save doing it tomorrow ;) ).

After trying to convince DD that they wouldn't laugh at her in school if I tied all her hair back (She sweats like a pig in the heat ) I covered both of us in factor 45 suncream (must remember to buy some more when the season is over as this one expires in January) and explained to her about why she had to wear it for school. She still didn't get it so I showed her the damage I've done to the top of my chest when I got really bad sunburn about 6 years ago - even in the winter I look like I have sunburn there :o She finally got the idea so I went hunting for her baseball cap for her to wear as well

Went straight to Asda for the weekly shop - 15 items, 15p off voucher and £5 onto my Xmas card and it came to £15.69 :jCame home and nearly collapsed as I was so hot.

Second breakfast and 2 pints of cordial later and I'll be leaving soon to go and buy some ant spray and powder - no oldstyle there as I want to be able to eat our meals outside without ants running up my legs or getting into the house

    Me off for another drink

I am doing all the washing from our weekend away at the mo. Just had a sandwich and so I am now off to make a start on tea before the heat hits the kitchen.

    morning all :)

I'm stuck at work too, but taking full advantage of the air con - it's SOOOOOOOOOOO hot, but not as muggy as yesterday and I'm looking forward to my early finish so I can enjoy a bit of the weather and get a wash out!

I've a "roll" of everyday biscuit dough in the fridge (almond essence rather than vanilla as I don't like it) so I can feed my visitors tonight O/S style :)

    Have a great Day all!

    Good morning all

I'm having an industrious day off today - breads done, washings done, bathrooms done, kitchens done, dishwasher empty and cleaned, floors hoovered and swept, toys all tidy and a flick round with a duster, chicken stock made from last nights bones and stored in the fridge - picked enough meat out for a pie later in the week too.

Have just sat down to get some stuff printed off for work and will have a quick surf around while I'm at it.

Chicken pie already made for tea, gooseberry crumble in the freezer to go with it.

Will tackle the huge pile of ironing in a while too - it's not too hot here today - real sea breeze is keeping it comfortable. Got to stay on top of things this week as I've got a busy week with work and then taking the kids to Lego Land on Friday before the majority of the schools break up (tickets curtosy of tesco clubcard vouchers) Then off to a wedding reception in London on Saturday.........then back to Sunday and we'll start all over again!!!

Hope you're not all melting in the heat...

  • Hey There

Well Im off to hospital today, being admitted. Long story but never mind-I hate hospitals but feel quite calm at the moment. More upset about leaving DD-but shes said she'll be fine..lol.

Not feeling too good with the Lupus & FMS today, but hubby has got through 2 washloads, dishwasher, sweeping through, tidied downstairs, cleaned toilet and taken dried washing upstairs-so downstairs is lovely.

DD has had a very Money saving day today. She is registered blind, and over the past 6 months 2 local charities have asked if DD would like to do some activities (sports, art, playschemes, etc) so she agreed. Anyway, last week we got a call from one of them and asked if DD would like to go on a trip to Margate today :j She said yes and because hubby is taking me to hospital-she asked her grandad. Hubby dropped them off this morning-he was well gutted-a true VIP day for the kids, this is the rota for the day:

Taken by blackcab-all filled with ballons etc
Stop at service station-all drinks and snacks paid for
Police Escort to Margate (shes very excited about this)
Meet the mayor and mayoress of Margate and a small carnival show
Given free entrance tickets to the theme park on seafront
All kids given pocket money for the afternoon
Private part of beach to relax/swim, etc
Meet at a hotel for a Meal & Disco
Black Cabs dropping them back home-should be back at 8pm

Hubby was so gob smacked, they were all dressed up and DD was so happy, shes never done anything like this before. We didnt even have to pay a penny & they pay for the carer too. She never moans about her vision, she just gets on with it. Im so glad she has something to distract her today...and me!

I am going to send a letter to the chairty next week when im out of hospital and thank them for their kindness and for making it such a special day for my daughter.

    See you all soon....hopefully..lol

Awww PP - Take care in hospital but how wonderful to know your DD will be having such a lovely time today. I'm not that far from margate and the weather here is lovely - she'll have a fantastic time.

Round of applause for that charity me thinks!! :T

sorry to hear you're not doing so well today PP, what a lovely day your DD is going to have though! I hope the weather in Margate is as lovely as it is here today - the BBC website says it should be warm and lovely :)
