Hello - back from my day out with the boys. Lovely and hot, which is a pain when you are sun intolerant, but I was doing a lovely English Rose impression - long floaty skirt, cotton fairly long sleeved blouse, big floppy cotton hat and sunglasses - all worn with panache (not the 70's perfume!) and a slick of lippy :D Made all the beached-whale chavs with their stretch marks peeking out of their crop tops look anyway :D

Anyhow, spent a fortune  Went into Holland and Barrett and got some green tea capsules, pair of sandals for DS1, restocked my greeting card box as our cheapy card shops shut last week, then bought Mr TM his birthday pressie, which was the big outlay. Then went on to the PYO place and the car is now groaning under the weight of strawberries, gooseberries, rhubarb and some raspberries for DS1. All cost £12.90 but still loads cheaper than a shop :) Too warm for jam making tonight and my feet hurt cos my sandals which I thought I had worn in, I haven't! So, glass of something and stick my feet in the foot spa whilst watching some drivel on telly tonight, me thinks. After I've searched the board for gooseberry recipes - apart from the obvious crumble recipes.

    Later :D

Hi All! Had quite a busy day today: 2 mystery assignments, bit of shopping, haircut, visiting, toddler herding! All after a late night last (out with the girls for a meal - great night, all-too-rare treat!), and an eventful early am (12-3am) I'm starting to wilt. So, yet to decide whether I'm going to whip up couple dozen fairy cakes after dinner or not. The ironing pile also looks pretty shameful. What time's Casualty? (8.45).

    Morning everyone

Not enough sleep again due to over energetic youngsters :( I really will have to tie them to their beds/dose them with cough mixture to get them to sleep longer :D Awake since 5.30 and not happy about it!

So, what have you all got planned for today? I seem to have promised the boys I'd get the huge paddling pool out today. One of our local stately homes has some sort of open day today so we may go to that. Also, no cooking today as we've been invited next door for a BBQ - unless they want something involving lots of fruit :D

Tonight will be lots of ironing and readying for school/work etc.

Hope you all have lovely weather and a lovely day .

This morning we are going to an organic food festival at the local swimming baths! Don't really know what to expect, but planning on taking a cool box just in case we spot any goodies.
This afternoon we're going to a Sealed Knot performance at an ancient hall close by, I think it involves a bit of fighting with with sticks! The kids (and OH) will enjoy it, history's not my thing so I'm hoping to linger at the back with an icecream.
Towels already hanging out, another load in the washer and bread machine on when we get back. Making the most of a rare weekend off together. Hope you all have a nice day.

    Hi TM, Hi Soba.

I was up before 7am this morning (unaturally early for a Sunday). And boy have I got a lot done. Good job really as today is going to be a busy, busy day.

Two loads of dishwashing done and one clothes washing which is drying outside. A loaf of bread cooling for tonights supper with pickles and cheese. One meatloaf made and cooked to reheat for lunch cos I won't have time to cook it from scratch at lunch time due to a punishing schedule:rolleyes: One humongous mince meat turnover made and cooked to eat cold later using frozen puff pastry and two jars of mince meat me mum was gonna chuck out:eek:

Off to church this morning, back for a quick reheat and scoff lunch before taking kidz to show rehearsals then back to church this evening. Was hoping to go strawberry picking (have been planning this everyday for the last two weeks) but I don't think I will have time:mad:

I have a week of running about ahead of me so I think Ill take a deep breath tonight and just grit my teeth until I've drank my third glass of wine on Friday night. Hospital appointments, rehearsals, shows, wedding & solo rehearsals and performance on Saturday. Reckon I'll put about 200 miles on the car, the shock will probably kill it cos It's used to basking in the sun on the drive while I walk everywhere!

Have a good Sunday and a good week everyone.

Not much done here so far, I didn't get up until 10.30! OH and DD packed off to the carboot, chicken in the slowcooker (I love my new toy) and my first ever batch of yoghurt started off (wish me luck).

I've got loads still to do, the sun is out and I haven't even got the washer on yet. Also need to do the dishes, hoover, wash the floor, clean the bathroom and put loads of clothes away. DS stayed at his girlfriends last night but is due back this afternoon so we'll probably do a bit of gardening then as he bought some plants from the nursery yesterday, he's turning into a proper Alan Titchmarsh!

Hope you all have a lovely day!

I got up late too - I think the hot weather makes me sleep longer...

Apart from that, I have to quick clean the bathroom and kitchen, and apply for two jobs ive seen, and clean the study thoroughly. I think ill do some more househunting, and maybe go out somewhere, have no idea where yet, but maybe to the garden centre or the supermarket as I have a few non urgent bits to pick up, but I might just see where the car takes me. or I may go and visit the Bath Spa, time team roman dig has inspired me a bit - I have so much on my doorstep I havent done yet! Although id quite like to avoid the tourists.........

Have a lovely day all !

Have you got the recipe for meatloaf? I've never made one before and OH mentioned he'd like some (meatloaf that is) the other day.
