A bra underwire in the pump :)

Edit: Is it Old Style to do the dishes in the bath and rinse tham all with the shower hose?

That's strange as I have a pump under my bra :rotfl:

Troo, if you can get to my house, you are more than welcome to borrow my washer!!

Coffee morning at the littlies new school today, and dh has to pop into town to pay his credit card bill as I left it too late to figure out that I no longer had the passwords to his side of the bank account. For some reason although it's a joint account I have to access his side to put his credit card onto the online payment system :(

I think he's finally realised how stressed I am getting with the housemove as he didn't moan at me once even when I told him I'd walked away from the cashpoint without taking the money out of the slot (luckily it was only a tenner)

    Morning Everyone :D

First day of maternity leave for me:j:j:j:j:j:j

Have already cleaned the kitchen, made a batch of flap jacks & put the bread maker on. Plan for the rest of the day is dusting & to sort out hubbys chest of drawers....a mamouth task in itself given what he insists on keeping in there, fortuntely he's at work;):p so I can get stuck in!

Been summoned to visit the M-i-L this evening:mad: so dinner is a mystery carton out of the freezer which, now that it's defrosted, turns out to be veggie curry:rolleyes:

Just off for a walk around the block to get some fresh air before I get started.

    Have a good day everyone
Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

Lillibet, I went through my boyfriends chest(s) of drawers as he was actually using two but a lot of the clothes he never wore!

He was cleaning out the study at the time (had prearranged the day as a clearout day) and I just showed him a t-shirt which I haven't seen him in... ever! :o

Then suggested we give it to his uncle (who would definitely have appreciated it)... now we can get rid of one of the set of drawers as it is empty! Hurrah! :j

I also chucked out some of my old stuff to get the ball rolling!

Today hasn't started too well for me!

So far I have realised that the macaroni cheese I've brought to work for lunch, left over from Saturday, was going to be tonight's tea - much nicer ovendone than cold from a tupperware here in the office. But that's what I'm stuck with now, as I didn't make anything else for lunch.

Last night I found many of my garlics in the garden have gone mouldy. Pulled some okay-looking ones up to dry, and then of course it rained all over them...

Yesterday I talked to my boyfriend about wine making, and he didn't think we have enough time, with everything else I'm trying to fit in! I see his point, all the siphening off and washing and sterilising...he's done it before, I haven't. I think everything's easy!

SO - here's to a better week! We're off to a log cabin in the woods on Sunday, for a week. Quite OS - no mains electricity or water! Wood burning stove and gas camping cooker. VERY basic, but a step up from a tent. A really nice little holiday a couple of hours from here, with no TV or any of that rubbish! I have my books picked out already!

Right, I will try and be more optimistic and get with the Monday Morning upbeat tone!

Troo - your handwashing bonanza has inspired me to get my handwashing done tonight...you know, the clothes that only get worn every few months when I finally get around to handwashing!

Queenie - it sounds fun in your house today, have a great day!!

Kippsy - if anyone calls me a "Prav", I'll bop them on the nose!! What an UGLY word for something so beautiful! The media are horrible! But still good to be outnumbering Chavs though, I guess!! ;)

Moggins - enjoy the coffee morning!

Lillibet - what a wonderful feeling to be on Maternity leave! Sounds as though you're making the most of it already - enjoy it!

Apparently OSers have a new name.... was reading in my (free) paper this morning... "Pravs" a new breed of shopper who snubs designer labels and boasts about how much they save! Pravs are "proud realisers of Added Value"! apparently three-quarters of britons are pravs and only 6% are chav like.... Teletext survey claims.

I think therefore I PRAV. I'm going to make a badge "Proud to be PRAV" :D

Back at work today (boo hiss). full day as well (boo hiss x 2) but have remember to bring sandwiches :D . Have e-mailed OH his shopping list for tonight together with instructions to get some mince out of the freezer (I've even told him what shelf it's on so he doesn't get the wrong thing out like he did last week  ) and to get a job form from Asda - I think I've mentioned this before. Foot still hurts but I'm getting used to using the left foot for my foot pedal instead of the right one. also I will be baking to night as well.

I have a damson tree in my garden - anyone point me in the right direction for recipes using them? i was thinking jelly, jam and stewed but run out after that - could yo uuse them with meat like you do pork and prunes?

    Right back to work
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

My Mum used to make damson Jam... yummy.... not that that helps you at all Rage! Take care of your foot!

perhaps I could go out at lunch and spread the PRAV message... or maybe I could write to Metro (free paper) and complain about the term prav and advise re-correct usage of Old stylers! :D

Ah, sorry Kippsy, that's just me being a grouch - whatever they call us, the message is good, isn't it?!

It's funny how quickly "Old Style" became part of my vocabulary though - I find myself saying it people who just won't know what I mean...but I expect them to, because I'm used to you guys!
