I'm really glad that today's over, and wish that DH was here so that I could share a hug and a glass of red. Can't even IM him, as it's 5am where he is. Luckily, one of my Bessie OS mates has signed in on MSN, so I'll see if she's chatting.
Thank you all for your support today - it really made a difference :A
Catch you all tomorrow, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
have only managed to skim a page or so. DLB - well done and thank goodness you were there. If they're right about what may have caused it, it rather makes you wonder how safe some of these herbal things actually are.
Pandas66 - been there, done that!! Very scarey to have kitchen full of steam and the pot hissing at you for ages! Glad it tasted OK.
And to all those with thieving dogs - Oh yes, we have them too! They always give themselves away though! One of ours tries to fix you with her eyes, whilst keeping her tail very low - usually it waves for England! Never mind, they are such good company - always greet you with enthusiasm whether you've been gone 5 minutes or 5 hours!. OK back to read some more now.
Highlight of my day: cleaner ill today at school, so had to clean the loos, basins, floors etc (properly, in view of all the bugs around!) before coming home. Who'd be a head?Resolution:

Hiya!
Not had chance to read the thread since the weekend as I've been really busy.
Big hugs to anyone who needs one and hope everyone is feeling healthy.
I've spent the past 3 days food shopping, sorting our Ebay parcels, listing more stuff, doing the usual housework and schoolwork and of course bagging bargains in the Boots 75% sale!DD1 started at Guides again this week and it's Brownies tomorrow for DD2. I'm in work tomorrow and Friday so will be busy in a different way then.

Dished up dinner which was rump steak with carrots onions and turnip done in the slow cooker and asked DH if the meat was tender enough for him as he always moans!
Answer - yes it was but the carrots and turnip make the stew too sweet!
He prefers traditional stews!!!
How much more ****** ing traditional can you get than carrots and turnip for *** sake!!!!!!
Have told him next time I will make it with onions, potatoes and lots of leeks.
If he complains at that - he will be wearing it!!!!!
Have pointed out that with half an oven he is lucky I cook at all!
Maybe I should go away for a couple of days to visit DD - that should fix him!!!
Should I break the sad news to him that he is not Egon Ronay and I am not a ***** chef!!!"This site is addictive!"

Hi all,
Just a quickie as i`m at w**k.
wmf i laughed at your doggie tale as we have had quite a few like that over the years, one of the present hounds is partial to thieving anything that she can get her paws on and needs to be watched like a hawk when food is around, the other one wouldn`t dream of pinching anything, he`s far too well mannered:D
Dlb - well done! think how much worse things could have been if you hadn`t been there. Hope your friend is ok now.
Catch everyone tomorrow - sleep tight!
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0
