    Morning everyone

I forgot to say but many congratulations to Freyasmum on her engagement.

Shez - glad you popped up yesterday. I was beginning to think you'd moved into one of those big yachts at the boat show.

Penny, good luck with your meeting. I've had a few like that in the past too, it's not nice.

It's "another day, another dollar" today - nothing special going on at all.

    Bye

Dark, damp & miserable here too.

Nothing exciting here today, need to do the stuff that planned yesterday. So I will be in my office filing and OH will kindly hoover the whole house and wash the floors. I will then do some ironing later but I am actually enjoing that now.

Will hopefully make a start on tidying my office, also want to get the holiday documents sorted nicely. Need to check our flight bag is the right size to take on the plane.

    Probably shepherds pie tonight.

Have a great day & (((hugs))) to anyone who needs one.

. Dial up line not staying up long this morning, I have had to reconnect 4 times in less than and hour, and now out of cheap rate! Though it is still a local call though.

Ha great day in Alicante yesterday, found a small cafe/restaurant behind the cathedral for a Menu del Dia for 8.50€ which included starter, main course, dessert, bread and a drink. Lovely old guy serving, who wanted to practice his English  , but our friends appreciated this. He was Italian but had been in Spain 47 years. Stopped drinking 29 years ago as his wife had told him he was drinking too much:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: . She did the cooking, he served, her kitchen was minute, she stood in the middle and it was just built round her. I thought our caravan kitchen was small, but never again, and she was cooking for a restaurant! Parking however was 6.40€ for about 4 hours.

Thinking of going to the Palm Gardens at Elche today, as it is our friends last day. We will take the car and stock up tomorrow morning, as we are trying it without a car for a while. DH may get withdrawal symptoms. But it will make me walk more.

DS and a friend is coming out to see us in February for a week. He managed to get a £55 return flight.:T :T

(((hugs))) Mrs_M, Pen-Pin, Pen-Pen andto those who'd like them. I hope everyone stays dry, and that the wet weather eases soon as I know it affects a lot of you, very glad I am here:o

    Hello everyone,

Well another busy day here in Aussieland. ;) After quite a lot of computer work this morning I just had to do :D I raced downstairs and washed all my downstairs windows. I even pushed the boat out and hosed and wiped down the front verandah. After lunch I went up to XDIL and she did my hair. It turned out pretty good really.

This arv I've been in the kitchen & garden. I had to put down mulch as it was getting pretty thin on the ground in some places. Having Lentil Flan with salad for tea tonight. It's cooked. Very muggy here atm. Looks like the rain has gone over to you now.

PenPen I dare you to take your knitting. :D Good luck at the meeting.
MrsMix I hope your DD does well in assembly.
Sola All that training has finally paid off. ;)

Hope all those feeling sick are on the mend. Will pop back later. Has everyone seen Haribo's new avatar? I mean who is she trying to fool. :D Byeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Terrible night's sleep and have a churny tummy, so not my best day ever. Meant to be seeing a friend later, but I really don't feel up to it so I'll cancel.

Weather is meant to be horrible again today - joys. Makes my job very busy, but I prefer it that way.

Need to find Mum a birthday present for Sunday. She'd seen a necklace on QVC which she ordered, but it was too young for her. So she's sending it back. I'll mooch their website later and see if I can find something. Found a website that offers cashback for shopping there through them:T (anyone know if cashbag has QVC as one of their stores? )

Had my lovely heart casserole last night - could've eaten it twice!! :rotfl:
Got bacon, egg and mushroom tonight.

    Hope everyone's ok

    Sixth Anniversary
    Good morning everyone

Haven't been on for a few days been rather busy here. Went to visit my mother on sunday in her residential home and i couldn't believe how much she had aged. She looked very frail and old. My mother is deaf with no speech then after finding out she had a tumourjust behind her eyes the drs decided to try and remove and unfortunately this has now left her blind. I do upset myself when i go as i can't imagine being in her position - being locked in her own world. My eldest DD burst into tears when she saw her as she hasn't seen her since she had the operation 3 years ago. Its took me a couple of days to pull myself back together again as its very upsetting when i can't communicate with her or her to me - she didn't even know who i was.

But on the up side (if there is one) it does make me appreicate how lucky i am - i may not have any money but i do have the ability to see, hear and talk so really i am very lucky.

Got washing to do today and have decided the kitchen needs a blitz and a good sorting out.

Hope everyone has a good day

    Good morning everyone,

Havnt read the thread yet, cos im in a hurry, but will be back later to do so!!!

Trying to get my 2 moving at the moment, and then the school run. Im then taking the LO over to a friends house to play with her little girl, and we can have a good chat!!!

Nothing much else planned for today, need to clean the bathroom and do some dusting - DS and i will be having tuna pasta for dinner, and DD will have left over HM chicken curry from last night. DD is going to an after school 'focus group' today, and will then go once a month after that - dont know much about it at the moment, so will be ionteresting to see how she gets on when she gets home. DS also has football training tonight, so an easy day, followed by a busy evening!!!

Right, really must get moving - ((HUGS)) to anyone who needs one,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
