redruby - she's a 4 yr old golden retriever who is likely to be a thief all her life!! Before this she got into a cupboard and ate one quarter of a pack of porridge oats, 12 weetabix and a pack of bread sticks! that was when we put on the child proof locks. Have had to put food stuff on top of kitchen cupboards! Our other dog is also a retriever but very well mannered in comparison. We had a labrador who once ate a tub of zinc cream for babies' bums
and another lab who ate shower gel.
Taplady - your dog seems to have more cultured tastes0 -
oldMacdonald - many Thanks for the tip will try that next time & if it works for me I might be able to work up to having my bikini line done.0

Evening all
We are 3 people down at work, one has a migraine, so we know she'll be out for 3 days, one was sent home with & cough & cold & one gave her notice in on Monday & has decided not to work her months notice, so now we have 6 people trying to do the work of 9! Of all the days to choose, someone decided to take an hour lunch break instead of 30 mins, which bu**erd my lunch up. When I asked her where she's been, she aid she'd gone to look at the rising water levels!! As she lives 2 miles from the river up hill, I can't see why she needed to. Maybe her middle name is Canute!
Hugs Hester

ok I'm back after having a snooze. It's a while since i've done that during the day but I haven't been sleeping well and everything seemed overwhelming and w a h !!!
When I was out briefly this morning my youngest dog unhooked the child-proof cupboard and ate 2 fruit slabs things (cakes!!) 2 packs of jelly and a cup a soup! I could tell it was her because a) she is a thief and b) she had orange jelly stuck to her mouth like a moustache. My older very sensible dog was making 'you won't believe what she's done' eyes at me. So...only one dog got tea tonight and I'm limiting the other one to just tiny drinks of water so everything doesn't swell up. She's ok, just looks a bit stuffed. i would too if I'd eaten 2 cakes.

I had an Irish setter who was a dedicated thief, one year I was making a sherry trifle for a badminton club party, the phone rang, the dog was asleep in front of the fire in the sitting room..............when I got back, the sponge soaked in sherry, raspberies and jelly were missing and the bowl absolutely clean, it could have come out of the DW!!!!! I phoned the vet and he told me to give him an asprin and let him sleep it off.............24 hours later he was as bright as a button.
One Christmas day we went out after lunch, the turkey was in the pantry on top of the fridge wrapped in foil and the doors of the pantry tied together. When we arrived home, the plate was in the middle of the kitchen floor, foil neatly laid to one side, turkey, what turkey, mind you the next day he was very sick....... did he get any sympathy, no he blooming well didn't. Unfortunately, his greed was his undoing. Our local milkman left the back gate open and he decided to go rove around. Two days later his stomach was so distended, if he had been a !!!!! I would have thought he was about to give birth. I took him to the vet who washed him out, he had picked up some sort of poisoned bait, and he never recovered, I had to have him out down 2 days later.............. My next dog was also a red setter, but a !!!!!, she never stole anything in her entire life. She too had to be put down, but at the grand old age of 17. We had her from a pup, she was a lovely dog, but hated going out in the car...........she howled the whole time she was in the car. She used to go to the kennels when we went on holiday and they used to take her into the house.....she was so spoilt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Just had dinner and placed an order with the Soap Kitchen for stuff like industrial-grade bicarb and borax, as I can't seem to find it anywhere else; I'll let you know how I get on with the delivery. Off to tidy and hoover the downstairs now.0

Evening everyone!
What a day iv had, everything was going great getting loads done was trying to track down a smell in the kitchen(which i stll cant find the source of!) when my best friend called round as i was ment to be going to collect her son and take them both to hospital for a appointment when......................................
In mid conversation she suddenly said `oh god donna i dont feel well` Put her head in her hands then fell to floor. Panic is not the word i got her some water got her a pillow and asked if she was ok, i took one look at her when she lifted her head out of her hands and ran and phoned 999.
Complete panic at this point but without letting her know, phoned her husband at work, phoned my dh (how thankful has stopped sulking and answered his phone.) Told dh he had to come home to pick kids up and then i just hung up on him, told friends dh to collect son from school and meet us at hospital ( as my friend even though she was completly out of it was mumbling about her son not missing his appointment!!)
Ambulance arrived where here about 25 mins before they decided to take her up to hospital for more checks. Panic again trying to leave keys out for hubby, a quick note about dd party this evening and then off in ambulance we went.!!!!
To cut a long story short she is now back home and is ok, they dont know what caused the dizzyness and illness this afternoon but they think it maybe some herbal calming drops she had just before coming to my house.
Iv never been so scared in my life, i was shaking and panicing, i could have handles it so much better than i did, but main thing is she is ok and i can now chill out and try and forget about today!!!
Hope you have all had a less eventful day than me !!LOL
Donna

Sorry, had a really busy day at work today with meetings etc. Not even had a chance to speed read. Just realised my security pass still round my neck! Noise from building work totally awful and mess outside horrendous. Can't wait to move to new office (albeit a total change of job description) but probably a year down the line.
Have written letter to Civil Service Pension folk for a forecast for 3 year's time. It is so small but every penny will count!
DD has paid our Spanish holiday today so have done online banking so they get the money tomorrow. Don't want them to be out of pocket.
Got home to find that DH has made a lovely pot of HM soup. He is a treasure and enjoyed the corn on the cob he took out of freezer today. I also had Mince and tatties!
Does anyone know about the theme park at Salou? Will it be suitable to spend big money on tickets for a 5 year old, 3 year old and a baby plus 3 adults? DSIL and me totally woos about going on scary rides!!!!!!!!!
Lots of love and hugs to you all. Sorry if you are having problems.

Dlb - no wonder you panicked..............think I would have done. At least your friend is ok now and just goes to show there are some herbal things that you need to check out before taking them.
I can only take certain ones due to epilepsy and medication I take but even if you're not on any other medicines you have to be careful.Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !
