Afternoon.........(((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) if you need one.........
Late start this morning, did not wake until after 9am. Its quite a bright morning so we nipped off to the allotment to prune the fruit trees, and bushes then I dug up the last of the celariac.........
Nothing planned for this afternoon, we have just had HM bread with cheese and sauce in a sandwich...yum yum....with an appple to follow. Tonight is the spag bol I made the sauce for yesterday.
OH was downstairs at the recycle room when he saw the rent man, he has changed his day to Wednesday, so we now have to put the coffee mroning back a week, so the next one is 30th and then fortnigihtly after that. We have the builders coming next week, they are going to build a porch on the front of the building, we have to have a security guard on duty 24hrs as its the main door into the complex, we have enough trouble with people just letting visitors in, so hopefully this will cut down on that.
Right off to wash up and get the allotment muck from my nails............then maybe do some sewing.......Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Ah 10 mins to myself,
the hounds are now walked and i`m pleased that we didn`t get too wet or muddy today, we went n some different fields which were mostly drained.
The lovely free range corn fed chicken that DH came home with was cooked this morning and i`m surprised how different it tastes to what i`ve usually been buying, i got loads off it, enough for 4 or 5 dinners and i could stretch it to 6 if we ate less, a couple of stir frys and the carcass is now in the pressure cooker for stock/soup. When thats ready to be turned off i`m off in the shower then it`s a quick snack before w**k.
There was a pile of chicken left but all eyes were on me so the doglets have eaten it and now they`re fast asleep.
I went in the garden earlier and filled up the bird table supplies and now the table and all the floor around it is full of birdies having lunch, always nice to see and i made sure that the mog was in first, she`s sat in the upstairs bay watching lol, it`s like a good film on telly for her.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Afternoon all. Just sat down with a cuppa having worked hard all morning. The whole house has been dusted (yes, even the skirting boards and the architrave above the doors) and hoovered (yes, even the stairs), so I'm feeling very saintly. I thought I'd be sitting down earlier but I hadn't washed the kitchen floor so I had to do that first! I have sheets on the line but they're just hanging there - I don't think they'll dry so I might bring them back in in a minute.
Everything is ready for dinner and I'm just about to start working, even though I'd much rather be knitting. I shall make a deal with myself - an hour and half's work will earn me 45 minutes knitting. I think I'll start that this afternoon!
I didn't think it was that cold earlier but I'm freezing now. I am determined that the heating won't go on just yet. The news was really gloomy yesterday about the cost of everything, food, heating, petrol and so on, and we haven't had the new council tax bills in yet. We on here realised that food was going up before Christmas, didn't we? It's just taken this long for the media to catch up! Anyway, I'm thinking really hard about other ways in which we can save. I haven't needed the car much this week so DH has been taking it to work; my car is more economical than his. Every little bit helps doesn't it?
Oh, by the way - don't forget that Martin is on tonight: 'It Pays to Watch', Channel Five, 7.30pm.
Anyway, I had better go and do some work. See you all later.

Good Afternoon
Had a call from the place where i meant to be starting those courses yesterday & today, saying that they've cancelled them now! Shame! I was quite looking forward to doing them.
OH didn't get the job, he's dis-appointed, but Like I said, its your 1st knock back, keep trying & dont let it put you off!
Got about 4 houses to go to later and collect stuff from freecycle. Items to keep and items which people are getting rid off purposely for car booters! (please note that they was advertised at car boot items) I love a good rummage through these. which will go in the shed with the other car boot stuff ready to start doing them.
Was going to do Baked potatoes for dinner (it was on my meal plan for this week) but OH only brought a small bag of spuds, so we dont have enough now. NOt a clue what we'll have!
Right, I'll crack on and sort the washing out.
Take care
Love Emma
P.S Is it 7.30pm on channel 5 Martin's programme is on? Im sure it is?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -

Afternoon Peeps!
Rested up for a couple of hours this morning, then got very bored. Sat in the kitchen on a stool sorting through the dreaded kitchen drawer with all the crap in it! Drawer now nearly empty and rubbish binned or put to allocated places. OH took the nets down for me:D so I could wash them and he has put them back up to dry. WM has done its second load which needs to come out:rolleyes: DW is on as I type and the stew smells lovely! Just dumplings to add in a bit. OH has also washed the car inside and out. Very pleased with what we have got done today:j :j :j :j
Also, I sold a Radley purse on Ebay for £33.00:beer: ...I cant moan as I have got good use from it the past 12 months, but was just too big for me and my bag. I called mum to make sure she didnt mind as she bought it for me Xmas 2006, but she said that was fine and only put it on just after lunch.
Have hospital in the morning and am going to tackle the incident that happened last week. I am also going to ask them if they would support me if I bought a home testing INR kit. It would make things much easier for me and save me going weekly to the clinic. Apparently, I can get the strips and softclix needles on perscription, but will ask tomorrow.
It seems to have got cold here this afternoon. Will settle down after dinner for a nice quiet evening with the blanket on the sofa:o
Hugs to all.

Afternoon all!
Well, it was back to work today for me, however the spinning dizzy feeling has been bad and it gets worse when in a car. Not good for a community nurse, driving from visit to visit. I've come home early and taken tomorrow off. On the plus side, I have discovered that it has a name, labarynthitis, as the lady next to me has the same and has seen the doctor about it!
Today was meant to be a spend no money day, but its gone wrong. In an attempt to declutter my makeup drawer I have just ordered an organiser. They cost £10 each and I wanted 2, however noticed they go for £20 each on ebay. Anyway, I have ordered 4 and will keep 2 and sell 2 on ebay, meaning they work out cost nuetral. I should have ordered 5 and made a profit, but I was scared they might suss me out!
Tonights tea is turkey meatballs in tomato sauce to go with pasta- easy cos its out the freezer!
Haribo- Junkie- Your new busty blonde avatar makes me think "only a bloke would have one like that!!!"0
