well I am washed, dressed, fed and ready to face the day more thatn I was a few hours ago!!! Think another cup of tea is helping :D

Have a list of small errands to do, so off to do those in half an hour. As a reward getting to go to a friends house for supper and a good girly chin-wag.

been wrestling with our meal plan for the next week - as we are down to the dregs of the cupboard and moving next week. i think a couple of take-aways are going to be on the cards - but so long as we make an effort to use as much as possible i'll be happy with that :D

    Thanks Mioliere
It`s now in the freezer (well part of it is) i managed to get 6
portions out of it, it was huge :D

Discovered that the dw hadn`t washed everything properly
I`m now waiting for it to finish again, i found the tablet in the bottom completely undissolved.
I`ve never used tabs before only powder, i got them massively reduced with a finish coupon i got with the dw ages ago so i do hope that this is a one off as i`ve got no powder left now for backup. The wait is driving me mad and also the fact that it`s no loger cheap electricity time.
    Catch up later.
Hope everyone has a good day, it`s actually stopped raining here at last, wonder how long for!

    Morning all

Hugs to all the poorlies this morning and a big hug to RonanKfan - must be so hard to see your mum like that.

Sky looked lovely and clear earlier but it's beginning to cloud over again now - DH managed to finish work early last night but still didn't get home any earlier thanks to "Operation - let's use the M20 as a giant lorry park - Stack" - he was pleased to see the wind had died down this morning so that the ferries would be going again but I've just heard that the French fisherman have blocked the port are now on strike so no ferries today either! More lorries will stackup on the motorway and one of the routes he'd normally take home was flooded last night -

Anyway - this morning I have been a virtual OS godess, I've made a chicken and veg pie for dinner this evening, 2 smaller ones for the freezer, a large quiche and some bacon and cheese pastries, I just taught myself how to bone a chicken too so the carcass is in the SC for stock, the rest of the meat is now portioned up in the freezer. 2 loads of washing done, swished the bathroom, beds all aired and remade......just going to update my accounts and then veg in front of a dvd for the afternoon with some sewing.

Why is it some days you seem to achieve so much and others it's an effort to even run a brush through my hair?

Hope you all have a fantastic day.

The dw is now emptied and i`m pleased to say that this time the pots were all lovely and clean i really don`t know what could have happened with the last wash but never mind, all done now.
The chicken i cooked is cooling on the side waiting to have the meat taken off and the kitchen is now all sparkly clean.
The wm is already loaded waiting to go on tonight and the big crockpot and roasting dishes that will not go in the dw are all scrubbed and gleaming again.
The lasagne is all portioned up and in the freezer and some in the fridge for tonight, the strange garlic [STRIKE]lead [/STRIKE] bread is sliced and in a bag to try and soften it a bit :D
I`m off for a well earned cuppa before i brave the weather with the hounds and i might even have a quick once round with the hoover if i`ve time before w**k.
    Catch you all later.

SOLA - do you rent your DH out? He sounds like the perfect man and an ideal husband.

This is following nearly a decade of me doing EVERYTHING. If it lasts for 3 months, I'll keep him; if he reverts to type, I'm putting him on Freecycle ;)

    Coooeeee :hello:

Sneaking on while at work where I am drowning in paperwork.
Filing is nobody's strong point in here so muggins will do it. ;) Oh is whining because he had to cut my new blinds to fit the bedroom window last night. Bless. He did a great job. :D

Nothing much OS today.....I swished and swept before I left the house and bunged the BM on for tonight's tea (HM Pea and Ham soup).
Lunch is ham and pickle sarnie. (it's quite possible I will start to oink soon.):o

Glad you like the avvy Aussie. :D Jealousy is such an unnatractive trait.
Sorry your joints are playing up Pam.
I dare you to storm out of the meeting shouting "let them eat cake" PenPen. :D

Better get my nose back to the grindstone.

    Afternoon all :)

Have had a busy morning, hope to get 5 mins sit down this afternoon (hence why I'm sitting here looking busy at the pC ;)). So far today I have taken the dogs for an hour walk, done the daily swish and swipe, got 2 x washloads done which are now hanging in the airing cupboard to dry, made 4 loaves of bread (using my free yeast from ASDA, not used this before so rather excited about how it will turn out - they are baking away in the oven now and smell wonderfull :). I have also frozen a load of chick peas and kidney beans that were soaked overnight and cooked up this morning - I like to keep frozen cooked beans on hand as they are cheaper than tinned.

Dinner is in the slow cooker - 'free' veg soup (made from excess veggies which have been frozen, so I consider it free :) ) and bread tonight.

Have to fill in a carers allowance form this afternoon, I have been putting it off for ages but I really do have to get it done!

Hope everyone is having a good day and that no one is facing flooding.
