I'm so sorry Lyndseyanne. Take care of yourself. xx

I had my first son no problem. The next 2 pregnancies ended in miscarraige. The next time I got pregnant I started bleeding at 14 weeks. It wasn't just a show but a proper full-on, gushing bleed. Obviously, I thought it was another miscarraige. My GP came to visit me at home, and told me I could still be pregnant. I thought he was talking out of his bum! I hadn't had a scan at this stage but when i'd went for my booking in appointment he had mentioned that I my womb felt higher than my dates suggested. I was booked in to the hospital for a scan. You can imagine my surprise when they said 'there you go, there's your baby'. I burst into tears as i'd fully been expecting the worst. I'd been carrying twins and had lost one. I stayed in hospital for a week and got home. I bled until I was six months pregnant. Not as much as a period, and it eventually became brown (old blood they said). I was admitted to hospital twice more in the next few months. My son weighed in at 9lb 7oz and he was fine. He's 20yo this year. :)

    Hi
I had large ovarian cyst removed along with most of left ovary too.
I tried for ages to fall pregnant and had a course of IUI on NHS. IVF is not available on NHS in our postcode!! Couldn't afford private. Was told little or no chance of conceiving, so hit an all time low. I even tried chinese herbal medicine and anyone who has tried that will know how bad and expensive that is. I can only describe it as the most bitter taste I have ever tasted, try to imagine a really strong black coffee, with licourice and then multiply by 100, it was disgusting!! Also the things I contemplated doing scare the hell out of me now. Anyway I eventually started to get on with life again, but never could get over it. I eventually joined a gym (although not overweight) with pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room after a few months I was feeling really good again, and looking good too. Then my sister fell pregnant, don't get me wrong I was really pleased for her, but the old feelings of loss re-emerged, a bit like grieving really but worse because there was nothing real to focus on, and most people have little sympathy because they just do not understand. Never under estimate what childless woman go through emotionally if they want to and cannot conceive, it is very powerful.
Anyway my sister suggested a few herbal/food supplements to take, so thinking what the hell I tried them, within 3 months I was pregnant at 42 and at 43 my beautiful daughter was born (now 4½). I could never endorse the supplements as being the reason, it could have been that I had become a more relaxed person, I don't know.
But she is a real miracle because straight after birth my menopuase kicked in and there is no chance of ever becoming pregnant again. Although I would dearly love to have had another child - I know that I have been given a gift from god and I am so grateful to have her and to have this chance to be a mum. I never moan about not having another - even though she is often saying she would like a sister/brother, I really don't think I would have the energy. She is my little miracle/angel/blessing in disguise.

    best wishes

Well I have PCOS have done for some years now, decided to come off the medication they gave me because I was so fed up of the side effects. My OH is older than me and has children himself and had a vasectomy over 10yrs ago, we decided for him to have it reversed in the hope we would concieve and low and behold 1year after the reversal I fell pregnant with our healthy gorgeous Son. I never in a million years thought it would be possible.
    Don't give up hope. x
