Any miracle pregnancy stories?

Hi- just feel like I need some encouraging stories today so........

...has anyone got any miracle pregnancy stories? Has anybody ever been told they are very unlikely to fall pregnant naturally but then have?? Or has anybody suffered from lack of periods but then fell pregnant? :o

Miscarried twice at 12 weeks. Pregnant again and a scan showed twins. Bleeding again at 12 weeks, miscarried, still felt pregnant - and was! Had a bouncing baby girl six months later! Always think of her as my miracle...

My OH was told she'd never have kids, miscarried twins then fell pregnant again within months with our first son & 4 yrs later with our second.

ps she didn't start having periods till she was prescribed the pill by her GP at 18.

Saw a news story on local midlands news yesterday about a couple who'd been trying for a baby for 20 years!!! She'd had an ectopic pregnancy (lost one ovary) & had to have a lot of her other one removed (if I remember correctly) They'd had IVF etc and she was going to have a hysterectomy. Had totally given up - went for a scan re: health problems.....she was 3 months pregnant!!!! Still had a few scares & he was born early but now fine!!!!! - wonderful story, which shows miracles can & do happen!!!:D

My best friends has severly polycystic ovaries, she was told by a consultant gynae man that her chances of conceiving naturally were nil and even with fertility treatment it would be hit and miss. She miscarried a few months ago and is now in her 3rd month of a so far healthy pregnancy. xx

Had PCOS and no periods. Had 6 years of fertility treatment which resulted in DS1 (born by CS). 3 months later while still fully breast feeding and no periods I learned DD1 was on her way!
  • Ah thanks- I love these stories!! You are all cheering me up! :T

I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome about 8 months ago after not having a period for about 2 and a half years! Doctor has said it will be difficult for me to get pregnant.

I have recently been on some tablets to try and start my periods but it didn't work (apart from causing me to spot for nearly 30 days:confused: ) and I have been taken off them now!

Keep your stories coming though- they prove miracles can happen! :D

Yes, my close friend was told she'd never have children because her PCOS was so severe. She didn't use protection obviously thinking she had no need to and was in a relationship for five years before falling pregnant out of the blue! She carried on not using protection after G was born and fell pregnant with J a year a bit later! She really could not have been more surprised and thrilled.

Another one! My cousin had PCOS and was resigned to not having her own children. Went through a very long adoption process and had a lovely baby boy. In a matter of weeks after he arrived, she found she was pregnant - in fact by this time she was nearly six months! She gave birth to a gorgeous little girl. So all of a sudden she's a mum to two very littl'uns very close in ages..

(As a vet, she's very embarrassed about not knowing about the pregnancy earlier!)

I had PCOS for years and was told that I couldn't conceive naturally.

Stuff me if as soon as I started invstigations for treatment that I fell pregnant with my eldest son!

It all ceased up again afterwards although I still wanted more children. I then met my "miracle worker" consultant who "drilled" my ovaries to kick them into action, sucked off the cysts and flushed my tubes (an MOT he called it ;)) and four pregnancies later I now have two beautiful girls and another boy on the way! As far as I'm concerned, they are all miracles, as at one point, I honestly thought there was no hope and me and my partner had quite a barrier to face.

PCOS is horrid, horrid, horrid, but it is possible to still get pregnant with it.
