  • Just got a letter from HMCS about a claim I put in that has been going in circles for months due to poeple telling me to fill in the wrong forms to change defendant's name + address, how to fill it out, what to write where etc. It was finally sent ot the judge, and he refused hte application , but I can't tell why, have phoned my contact at HMCS and she is supposed to call me back when she finds out. OK, she;s called me back and thinks that the judge wasn't happy with my explanation as to why I need the info changed and has sent the file off to my local court for a hearing so I can argue for the extension. Wont' know for a few weeks, I think, when that will be.

Can someone tell me which board to ask for help??

I'm cold, my foot is sore, I've had to troll through DH's 'filing' system to find all my paperwork about the claim (his filing system is piles of paper etc. all over the house, he cna't leave stuff where I've put it , or sort through it for recycling etc or to actually file away) - I used ot be so good about filing important stuff away properly before I met him! , haven't had brekkie yet.......... Edit: he's jsut brought it!

(it's taken me 15 minutes to type this post!)

Blairweech and Odds-n-sods, I hope you are both feeling better soon!!! (((hugs))) to you both, it sounds like you both need them.
Blairweech, you could try fresh lemon, hot water (out of kettle) and honey (not sure if it will help but it is old-style!!!) :)

    Morning all

Hugs to all the poorlies - seems like quite a few this morning.

I really couldn't wake up this morning - so much so that I ended up tipping fabric conditioner into the dishwasher instead of powder - a whole new bottle went everywhere - ended up having to wash the floor, cupboards, sides and drag the fridge out - just what I needed.

Had a friend here for coffee this morning - showed her the budget planner on here and things don't look good for her - going to give her a hand sorting things out, that's my good deed for the week done.

DH continued his "Mrs Pookys day off" theme yesterday and cooked a full roast and cleared up afterwards.......he even made a pan of chicken stock - he's well trained.

Lasagne for dinner tonight - will get the mince and sauce made in a bit before I go for a nice long hot bath and colour my hair.......might even go wild and shave my legs!:D

Hope you all have a great afternoon.

    Morning all (just)
I`ve finally managed to post today, i`ve been nipping in and out and playing catchup with the thread and managed to get to the end.
I woke up on the sofa this morning as i was so tired i never made it to bed and now i am paying the price with a stiff neck and headache.
The usual chores are done ie dw, wm and bm, the dogs are walked and i even managed to have some breakfast.
I`ll be off to work shortly for a few hours then off to catch up with some planning. DH left a good while ago.
I can`t wait for the bank statements to arrive so that i can check all the spending off and work out the finances, hopefully they will be here before the end of the week.
Hugs to all the poorlies today the horrible weather really does not help anyone feel better either as it is really dull and miserable out there.
I had better get wrapped up to brave it and make sure i have an umbrella today although i`m sure the wind will do it`s best to tear it out of my hands.
Hopefully i`ll get chance to catch up later.
    Have a good day all!

Can you give some details telling us what it's regarding, so we can help point you in the right direction? Failing that a PM to one of the BGs, and they'll help.

Tru - how's your garden project going? It's sunny and warm here, so I'm off out into mine this afternoon. Can't wait to get started this year :T :j

    Good morning all.
Fairly organised today ............paperwork done ready for soc.services meeting this afternoon, phone calls made but have to wait for people to ring back..........what a pain. I'd hoped to cross them off my list ! Still, made quite a few 'ticks' so I'm doing well.
This is my computer time till I have to get ready for meeting. It's at home so at least I dont have to venture out in the cold.............just have to tidy up here a bit.
OH just finished washing kitchen walls down........another job done, bless him. Dinner tonight is sorted...........pork from last night and even the veg is prepared !

Hugs to all those feeling poorly (((((((:o )))))))) have a good day and stay warm:j

I am off work today and tomorrow. The car is due for its MOT on Thursday as well as needing a service, so I am making it my mission to spend no money at all on these two days.

I have decided that I should do something productive with my time. Normally on days like this I would stock up the freezer with food, however I already have a cake and some muffins in the freezer as well as a fair few building blocks (home made tomato sauces, stock etc).

I cleaned the oven and the fridge out last week. The bathroom I have cleaned up and touched up all the grouting on over the weekend.

I had a declutter of my wardrobes before Christmas and I did a food cupboard audit the other month to help meal plan.

I've started digging over the garden but its all grey and drizzly outside, so I can't be bothered to do that.

Think of something OS and productive that I could do with my day that doesn't involve spending money!

PS Sorry I spelt the word day wrong in the title- you can't edit thread titles and know I feel thick!

    Hi JoeyEmma,

Well done on all your achievements!! I've added your thread to the Daily thread where we all talk about what we've been up to and you should get lots of suggestions there.

  • P-P, I canceled a driving course and never got my refund, lots of stalling etc, took them to court, they never did anything, got judgement, warrant. Baliffs tried to enforce the warrant and found the address I used wasn't the office for the driving school, and I had to change defendant's name + address and re-apply the claim. I was told to fill out the wrong forms, they were sent back 3 x. The last time I was finally told that I had filled out the wrong form, so I called and was on the phone for 30 minutes being told exactly how to fill them out -- and i still got them sent back! Ended up on the phone with a manager, who passed me on to someone who assessed the claims, and filled them out again. This time they went to the judge, who declined the request to extend the time of reservice as my explanation wasn't good enough (my contact thinks). I have been given a hearing, don't know when, to try in person to get this sorted. I started to try to do this back in Sept; original claim was started in the spring!
