Hi everyone! Hugs to those who need them.
I've just had a very productive OS weekend and am now the new owner of a breadmaker:j It's been put to work and has cooked us an oaty cake so far. Yummy yummy in my tummy!! Also have started to catch up with some of the jobs I didn't get done over Christmas due to flu. Now have a sparkly oven and the freezer is next on my hit list. Hmmmm wonder what discoveries I'll make in there:D How is it when I tip leftovers into a marg pot I am totally convinced that I shall remember what it is and yet once frozen everything looks the same and then I haven't got a clue. S'pose I could label the boxes but then that would be all the fun taken out of a freezer dip wouldn't it!!
Kitchen progress continues. OH has smashed off the tiles and we're getting dangerously close to putting some paint on the walls.
OS today has been dark wash [the laundry basket is almost empty but now the ironing seems to be breeding again] and putting the bin/recycling out. Have also topped up my Stardrops supplies from Wilko and had to buy new bits for the small person as he's grown again [should have seen it coming when he ate like a horse over Christmas] and I've noticed that his school trousers have morphed into a rather attractive pair of ankle flappers. Think I shall need to dig out the ones I've put away and then take them up [there are only 3 days a year when he fits into his clothes properly..the rest of the time they're either too long or too short:D ] OH is making veggie spag bol for tea.
Have a great OS day folks.

Jayward - I'm not sure what 'clicks' are either but I'm sure someone will come along soon to tell us. Hope your vist to the dr goes ok. I think it is VERY hard to ask for help - hhhmmm not sure if it's a woman thing or not. just take a deep breath and then ask, otherwise it just goes round and round in your mind that you need help with x,y or z.

Went to my optician appointment and have selected 2 pairs of cheaper frames and will go with DD at the weekend for a final choice between the 2. I'm glad to have had them proerly checked instead of just buying reading glasses from the library (my last ones came from Boots - small and dinky and fit into a cigar shaped holder - ah well, never mind).

DD rang from Australia (she's in Queensland as well, AussieLass - she's in Brisbane) - counting down to coming home (I can't wait - I know, i know I keep saying). After that i had a microwave frozen meal because i was starving!! feel better now.

Off to get on with jobs (ok, a bit of browsing first)

Have just hung up the newly washed curtains in DD's room.

Noticed DH has taken off the window wind chime that she LOVES!!!!!! He has also removed the nail!!!!

Back down to the shed to get a hammer and nail and then put the wind chime back up!!!!!

Room looks like a bomb has hit it although six boxes of stuff have just been taken to storage!

Have decided to wait for the chaos to die down before I can get in to hoover and polish!

Forgot to mention that a solution of whte vinegar and water spray with two microfibre cloths (one wet and one dry) did agreat job of the window.

PenPen, it's been raining here so I haven't been out for a few days, but it's given me a chance to get it perfectly planned :D The rain's stopped at the mo but I won't be going out there today, I'm halfway through planning the guinea pig hutches and runs.

I bought a sewing machine :j so I'm designing some stuff to make and sell.

The kitchen is decluttered (again!) and I've listed some books on Greenmetropolis :T

Elona, have I missed your post about house moving, have you sold? I remember reading before Christmas that you were getting a wee bit fed up regarding the house sale. I really should pay more attention, I spent long enough on this website, or have I just put my foot in it by mentioning it?

hope you are feeling much better soon

been trying to play catch up today but not realy achieved a lot

my only spend today has been a birthday card for one of my youngest sons school friends.

were out to the cinema tonight (free tix) and cheap meal at the pub for tea after. Doing the children early tea and bigish shop at the weekend hopefully means a couple of shop free days. nipped in our local sainburys to swap my ripped bag for life, didnt need any shopping from there but older son had ripped the carrier he uses for pe and needed a new one for tomorrow:rotfl: the lad serving asked how i managed to rip it so badly as hes only ever seen me with a fabric shopper
