How sad am I? Back to work and feeling OldStyle withdrawal symptoms ... I had to resort to nipping out to Robert Dyas for Nitromors, turps and meths for the DIY cupboard. Imagine my delight when Amazon delivered Kim & Aggie's The Cleaning Bible, Cleaning & Stain Removal for Dummies, and How To Be The Perfect Housewife by Anthea Turner.0

Afternoon all. (((Hugs))) to lots of you I think; TIRED MUM, TAPLADY, JAYWARD AND BLAIRWEECH and anyone else who wants or needs one.
AUSSIE - I would definitely let DIL do your hair colour (as long as you get on with her!). I find it really difficult to do it myself and that's why I rush it. My DH has endless patience and is more than happy to do mine.
PURPLEIVY - thanks for the info.
CRAZYCHIK - good luck to DH with the interview.
Well, I've done some baking - I just have to ice the cakes later. I've prepped for dinner, done the ironing (only very small pile!), done some paperwork and an inventory of my freezer. I could not believe how much meat was in there. Enough for 25 meals! Plus seven lots of HM soup and various other things; that should really help me to spend less for the next couple of weeks.
Well, the rain cleared up and it's bright and sunny now but really cold. I'm trying not to put the heating on yet.
Anyway, will catch up later - think I'd better put the hoover round.
See you later.

DH still "clearing" DD's room which seem to involve everyone and everything in the house!!!!
Have cleaned the window and the lampshade and helped with moving boxes!
Have just cleaned the microwave which was in a disgusting state as DH just shoves stuff in there and never covers it or wipes it out. Think I may found proof of alien life in there!!!
Need to go post a couple of parcels and get bacon and eggs etc. while DH and DD take stuff to storage.
Daren't let them alone as who knows what he would decide to chuck out!!!!
Made them a jacket potato with yesterday's mince on it for lunch and tea will be potatoes and baked salmon steak with leeks in cheese sauce.
Just waiting for it to be safe to leave the house!!!!
Hugs to everyone and see you later."This site is addictive!"

I colour my hair. I find it really easy if I lather it all up with the dye then comb it through with a fairly wide toothed comb-to evenly distrubute the colour. It works every time. That said I only do it myself coz it's so expensive to have it done at hairdressers. I'd much rather let someone pamper me while I just sit there.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Ok, so I've sorted out all the tupperware (I'm sure the same monster that leaves you with odd socks leaves you with only lids) and sorted out a few drawers in the kitchen. all the menus are in a file (we hardly ever have take away, but just in case) and all the instruction manuals are in a different file.0
