Morning everyone
First of all, I agree that you make some good points about "support" posts. Taplady in particluar. But...
..and there is a BUT
There's a line between "support" and "chat"... we all appreciate the sense of humour our members display in posts and, as long as a question has been asked and answered in a normal thread - we don't fuss about it if the thread later wanders a bit.
This thread - being a support one is different - because there's no "one question" and no "one answer".
So a post along the lines of "Well done you - I couldn't face that <shudder>" we regard as fine - it's not a recipe or a strategy - but it IS support. We don't have a problem.
But something like... "phew - ain't it boring today" is just chat. No recipe, no help, no support - and it's posts like these that we are asking you to limit.
Asking first, you note
So please by all means keep the support - but drop the erm... non weight loss chat.
By and large, if you look at the main forums page, where it says at the bottom how many people are on line - you'll find that there are often at least seven times as many guests (who cannot post but only read)... so lots more people read only than you might have realised.
Lots of quippy one liners make it difficult to pick out all your good stuff - and there IS lots of good stuff here.
Our requests to stay "reasonably" on topic are made to help the thread stay useful and easily readable - so please, help us out and try to stay within "help" "advice" and "support".Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Okay, back to it then!
My husband says it's a Scottish thing, but I like to put butter and cheese on just about everything. Anyway, I was brought up on cheese and banana sandwiches and it's time I stopped eating so much of the stuff. I've found something that works for me.
Virtually Fat free fromage frais! I have been spreading it instead of butter and cheese and still having it with banana. It works really well on rivitas.
Happy weight losing everyone!May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -

Now looking at that i have all but the nat yog and fruit in the house -and i have to nip to pick up some potatoes this evening -so if you like i could give it a trial run tomorrow...save folks getting stuff in and it not being woth it.. it will only cost me a few cents for the yog n fruit....
I imagine you could stick it on a thin biscuit base for that "real cheesecake" feel..for a few extra cals mind.. but nowhere near as much as in the shop ones
I might try bottled cherries as i love them and they are really cheap here
Hope that helps mumma
Right back to a quick update of my day so far...
Nipped for my walk so thats another 1 hr 20 mins done -and 4 days in a row :j .
Got some more whoopsed mozarella -low fat this time90c for 250gs so i have shoved 4 in the freezer for HM pizza, pasta bakes etc
and i have mixed the meat n herbs up for the sausages..just got to shove it through the machine when its chilled ...i weighed 2oz of meat as thats about what the sausages weigh when done and made with all minced pork..they work out at 1WW point each -i am gob smacked... i don't count points anymore -but have WW scales so thought i would look -no wonder im losing weight i only have 2 at a time maximum...sometimes just 1 :rotfl:if i use turkey mince they would go down to 0.5 each..so i may have to try them next time -using some of my whoopsed turkey mince from the freezer.
I think its such a shame that its all kicked off again... and we are losing 2 valued members of the team because of it... they are always there with something to make you smile..and loads of informative advice about healthy OS snacks etc... only the other day Kitty posted all the snack alternatives... and frogga all the calcium etc in loads of veggie and vegan foods.
Both were really helpfull and lets be honest how many of us wouldn't have got in a pickle trying to track down that information on the web ?
Well done on dodging the bacon sarni shop NIX... that stuff is the reason i gave in being vegan/veggie many moons ago :rotfl: -its the devils food stuff you know....the smell of bacon cooking is one thing guaranteed to make me hungry..so well done :T
Hope you are feeling better soon cheerfulness
Well done on staying the same Taplady, after that run in with a treacle sponge -i think thats good going.... that last 1lb is being a right b*gger isn't it.... i hope you do a conga with your sister around the meeting when you hit target
Right i had best get off and get something done... will endevour to dig out more recipes to post to keep us going and motivated..

Morning all,
Dinner last night was very nice, but I had frozen garlic bread slices; when they came out of the freezer they were all stuck together and everytime I tried to wedge them apart (even with a knife) they kept breaking up. So we ended up having about 2 broken slices each instead of 1.
No walk today EITHER as it's hailstoning here.
Food today.....
BREAKFAST: Bowl porridge with semi-skimmed milk, raisins & cinnamon. Large tea & glass of orange juice.
LUNCH: Beans on toast.
DINNER: Sweet & sour chicken (with extra peppers & mushrooms added), beansprouts and noodles.
As usual few snacks, water & lots of tea.
Trousers feel a wee bit looser.
Hang in there everyone. :T0 -

It gets better MrsMc - when I got into the office and told how I had resisted the bacon butties everyone else decided they wanted one!!! So they sent out for sarnies - and I was REALLY good and sat there eating my porridge. That's like double temptation I managed to resist and really I deserve a gold star or somethingComps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%

Well done on resisting the bacon roll Nix :T I've managed to resist so far at work and have stuck with my porridge and raisins, but we've always gone to a local sandwich shop (who make THE BEST breakfast rolls with bacon, sausage, tomatos and mushrooms) on a Saturday, I managed to resist last Saturday in exchange for allowing myself one this coming Saturday
Everything in moderation! On the plus side, I have resisted takeaways on my night shifts about 4 times in the past two weeks, saving myself countless calories and about £20, not to mention all the biscuits I haven't had - I think I deserve a breakfast roll just for that
Anyways, stuck to my plan yesterday, I enjoyed my pasta carbonara & garlic bread, not the healthiest but I wanted it so I had it, and its got to be better than the pie & chips I used to have after weigh-in days at Slimming World .
Today looks like this....
B - Porridge with honey, raisins and cinnamon
L - Tomato and bacon 'Red Soup' with a crusty roll
D - Pasta bake using the 'pre-whizz'd' red soup I made yesterday so its all lovely and chunky.
Exercise - None planned, I'm a lazy bum. Got to make bread by hand though, eventually that should give me muscle definition in my arms!
Tomorrow...
B - Porridge, maybe with raisins, maybe with mashed 'nana.
L - More Red Soup
D - Roast beef dinner with plenty of veg.
Kittyscarlet, if you're reading this, I hope you start posting again soon, your posts have been really helpful to me, especially the one re snacks, in fact, I will attribute 3lbs of my 8lb weightloss to you cos if you hadn't posted a snacking list I'd have been raiding the vending machine:rotfl:
Hope everyone has a good day0 -
Hi All,
Another warm sunny day again today. We're not having our customary walk on the beach but going to visit friends (on foot) instead. It is quite steep uphill all the way so should be good for the muscles.
I've had another lazy afternoon sitting in the sun with a book. I've finished my library books for the week so will be paying the library in Gibraltar another visit tomorrow. I shall have a second weigh in for the week as it's the first of the month. Hopefully as I was only 2oz over the lbs reading I will have dropped another pound. I am sure my stomach looked a little flatter today.
Had the usual museli for breakfast and crackers and cheese for lunch. I shall probably have a mushroom omelette for tea but need to find something else for OH as eggs give him a migraine.
I really enjoy reading everyone's posts and hope that Frogga and Kitty start posting again, along with everyone else.

Well.. I got my cocopops.. tipped my usual amount in the bowl.. and just for fun decided to weigh it.. a 'serving' is 30g... I have 3 times that.. and half a pint of SS milk.. which isn't so bad because I simply do not drink milk or have dairy products other than a slop in my tea. So I ate them anyway.. 90g ish is about 390 calories so not overly catastrophic.. providing I don't stuff myself sensless at lunch and dinner.
In view of the fact I have very little for lunch it probably balances out fairly even.
Off to do my HHE.. anyone care to join in??
Too scared to weigh mine now :rolleyes:0
