Mooloo's struggle with babies and bills

Ok, so I am going to try to be positive. A new year, and I suppose several new challenges will face us. My eldest Daughter has had financial woes since her fella had his car accident in September, and they have had to give up thier rented house, so they are currently camping out in the dining room, which was DS's bedroom, so its all move around. They arrived yesterday.
Wonder what will come of this? Hopefully they will get thier deposit back and soon he will be back in paid work.
I have to meet with my area manager about my current status, and will be seeing my doctor just before I do. I only have about 2 physio sessions left. Physio now thinks that she has gone as far as she can, and that I need further help, maybe even try accupuncture? Pain management, and different medications. So having a chat with the doctor early Monday morning
DS should be back at school. He has been given an application form to apply for an apprenticeship with DAF, for when he leaves school. (If Daf dont get into trouble in the coming financial year, obviously!).
Twin2 is in complete meltdown on the financial side and has had yet another bank account frozen on her, with major bank charges of rediculous amounts so much so that I do not dare actually look at it. She has dissappointed me the most this year.!
Twin1 is trying, and improved somewhat over the last few months. Lets hope for an optimistic result at least with her.
BBJ's dad is currently visiting, so I am sticking out of the way. He went out with twin2 and the baby earlier, down to my old football club? Now she tells me she has been invited over to his families next weekend to go to a party? She wants to go. I am worried that that is sending mixed signals out. I am fearing that she will want to be reunited with the father and a repeat of last year would be the death of me!! I don't think that I could take the strain of it all.
DS came back from his Dad's early this morning, everyone were still in bed! I had only been pottering around the house, and opened the post.
Department of Works and Pensions have decided to claw back even more funds from Twin2, an overpayement apparantly in 2007!! When she was with "him", and so her finances are goiing to be in even worse array. I just will have to battle the powers that be, and go over the fact that she doesnt understand money at all. Thank god I intercepted a credit card that arrived the other day.!!
BF is coming to see us tonight. I was there for the new year. But came home new years day to sort out the family. There is always something to catch up on if I go away for a night or two. The price I just have to pay for taking time out.
Now I am off to the kitchen to scower the cookery books that I have and see if I can make a small roast chicken interesting, and spread it all out to feed 9 of us!! Mmmmmm not going to be an easy task that one. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I hope 2009 is a better year for you than the past year was.
You sound a bit overwhelmed and to be honest I'm struggling to understand why you alone have to be responsible for ensuring 9 people get fed this evening when 6 of them are adults and your son could be a kitchen labourer.
It sounds like Twin2 has serious problems. If I remember correctly, she has a social worker, can the social worker sort it all out as part of their support for Twin 2 ? Apologies in advance if I've got this wrong......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Mooloo I don't know what to say other than I am flabbergasted! It is only the third day of the new year and look at the way things are going for you. How about everyone else doing their share and cooking for you after all they are all staying under your roof?0

I agree with the last 2posts.I feel that you are teaching your family to stand back and let you solve every problem. Your oldest child is lovely and capable and is now camping at your house-will this affect your benefits etc?- yet even she has left you to sort the meal out. Please make a New year resolution to delegate this year Mooloo, otherwise there is never going to be any change in your status as the 'person who sorts it all'. I do hope and pray that 2009 will bring massive improvement for you. (by the way I know someone who had tremendous success with accupunture for a musculo-skeletal disorder,so if you are offered it please grab the oppurtunity!)0

What Chica said. 100%.
Make a list of important things to do today. At the top, put 'eat chocolate'. Now, you'll get at least one thing done today.

Hi, I am not planning to do the meals for everyone everyday! I may be daft at times but I am not that daft! I just needed to do the meal that day as there was not much food to choose from. Anyway we managed. But I agree I am not able to do meals for so many everyday. BF and I already talked about that on Saturday. To tell the truth we argued on Saturday becuase I was so tired etc at the end of the day.!
Yesterday morning, I am not sure what happened but both the twins helped around the house, even asking. Was it because Biggest of Mooloos BF was here, or mine, but what ever, things did manage to get done.
In the afternoon I went to Homebase to buy some heaters, 10% day, and co-ax cable to extend the TV ariel out into the garage for the youngsters to have their gadgets and gizmoes out there.
Most of yesterday was spent then organising the WII and the playstation and all the various gadgets, and work out how not to blow the fuses!! (after 2 attempts at that!!).
Twin2 will be the death of me, she had an arguement with her twin, and stormed out, leaving me to hold the baby. I was not happy and we had the family row, etc!! I confess I was so angry I called the Social Services to ask advise, as Twin2 was threatening to take the baby and go stay with a friend. As he was already in bed I didnt want him disturbed. It wasnt a pleasant night, and she didnt come back home until 12.30 lunchtime today. I got a sorry, but I am still waiting for the Social Services who were supposed to be coming to see me/us today!! We wait.
We are actually waiting for ASDA to do a delivery too. I did my first order with them, but it has not arrived. It is now 3 hours late, (of end of 2 hour slot), so up to 5 hours late, and no sign of it.
I am awaiting ASDA to ring me back to tell me where it is, etc etc.
Not a good first impression. Even if we are snowed on the side roads all the main roads are clear, as I drove into Town this morning to drop my friend at the hospital.
I saw my GP today. He has now offered accupuncture, apparantly he does it himself, and he will see me next monday morning at 8.10am. Bit early but as I dont sleep that well it should not be much of a bother. He also has prescribed yet another anti depressant to try, along with the tablets to line my stomach. We will see what effects these have on me!!Dare I take them?
Biggest of Mooloos has the flu at the moment, so she is tucked up in bed. Also on her lap top. She has managed to get TWin1's wireless to work, so we are all on the computers now. Or can be.
Two of my old school friends, etc have surfaced out of the woodwork at christmas, so I have a few things to lookforeward to. Catching up.
If only I could sort out Twin2, things would be much improved I am sure. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Hi Mooloo
Not sure if anyone has already suggest this but would Mencap be able to help with Twin2?
Happy new year by the way

Not sure who can help with twin2, but if its not sorted soon its me thats going to need mental health occupational therapy!!!
Asda just delivered, finally. So have just put it all away. I know someone could have helped, but on this occasion once it was brought in i needed to juggle as Biggest of Mooloos freezer contents were brought over yesterday, and so I had to play a bit of building bricks!!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Look up Mencap on the web and see if there is anything in your area.
Kids are hard enough at the best of times with the difficulties your twins have so I do sympathise, it must be so so hard at times.
Glad the shopping arrived though.
Does Biggest of Mooloos not come on here anymore?

Havent seen her on here for a while, but then she has been struggling to find a place to live, etc, and then was off work. But no doubt once she is well again she will lurk. Although living here, for a while anyway, she will know whats going on here afterall!! Reckon that will be a big eye opener for her. I should think she has forgotten a lot of the problems over the last 4 years!!:D
Just going to check the list from ASDA and double check I got all that I have been charged for. Then I will update my signature.
Also can check with my Dad now he is back off of his holiday, see whats in the bank, towards the Slush funds again.!!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
