Just got @ £20 back so good news there
just one thing use their call back facility as they call you immediately and it is not a quick transaction as I had only 4 items and it took 25 minutes to complete.......so if you use your own phne you might use up all your savings in phone costs !!!!!

Thanks guys
Got refund off Amazon UK even though it was out of 30 days, but Amazon France wouldn't refund (surprise surprise) this would have been €15 but something is better than nothing.
Here's Amazon uk reply that came very quickly.
"Please accept our apologies, but we are not able to adjust the price
of an order in instances where more than thirty days have passed
between the date on which an order was dispatched and the time that
an item is reduced in price on our site.
We are only able to adjust the price of an order in instances where
less than thirty days have passed between the date on which an order
was dispatched and the time that an item is reduced in price on our
site.
Hence in this case as an exception to our policy, I have therefore
requested a refund of 5.44 GBP to you"0 -
I checked my orders, and although one item had gone up in price, the other had gone down. Quickly clicked on the button and sent an email, and today will be getting a £4.00 refund.
Thank you!

Amazon initially refused to give me the difference as my order was placed more than 30 days ago but i pointed out that my understanding was that the 30 day measurement related to the period between the date of order and the date of price reduction not the date of claiming. They didn't disagree with that statement but said they didn't keep records of price change dates. My response was that they need to keep records to monitor their own offers (if they don't who can?). They agreed to refund the difference in the absence of the facts. It was only a small amount so not sure what their reaction would have been had it been a larger amount.0

thanks so much, just got email in less than 2hours for £13.61 every penny counts! amazon is a quality company!0

Mark, that's in interesting statement. So if we can prove that a price went down within the 30 days regardless on when we noticed this and claimed we are still entitled to a refund. Hmmm...
Then you need a very clever program that has the records of all prices and dates of changed for any order you've made with Amazon since they brought this policy into action. Shame.0 -
Well I placed an order on 29th Nov, despatched on 12th Dec and this is what they said to me:-
Please accept our apologies, but we are not able to adjust the price
of an order in instances where more than thirty days have passed
between the date on which an order was dispatched and the time that
an item is reduced in price on our site.
The amazon.com site says:-
Amazon.com's prices for released items will change from time to time based on a variety of factors. If Amazon.com's price for an already-released item decreases within 30 days after we ship the item to you, we'll be glad to refund the difference in price if you contact us. Please click one of the buttons on the right, and be sure to have your order number handy so we can assist you.
It seems I may have missed it by a day which is frustrating as my order was delivered in dribs and drabs. Still useful info for the future.0 -
Thanks for this. I got a reply within an hour saying I would get £4 back. Very pleased and have passed the word around family and friends

I make that exactly 30 days today, not 'more than 30 days'. maybe they looked at the date of the order, not the date of despatch - I would email them back again - or try the call back thingy and speak to a real person!0
