I got this reply from Amazon
We are only able to adjust the price of an order in instances where
less than thirty days have passed between the date on which an order
was dispatched and the time that an item is reduced in price on our
site.
So it's 30 days from the date of dispatch rather than order date .

After receiving my MSE email yesterday, I duly contacted Amazon requesting a refund. This morning I have received an email from Amazon stating that they do not offer a 30 day money back guarantee!!!! Mmmmmmm!!!!! I will be contesting this - watch this space!!!0

Great tip.
I checked this out on the 2 CDs that I bought in December and they'd both gone down BUT the cheaper prices takes me under the 'Free Supersaver delivery' offer level (which I opted for) so I would have had to pay for delivery, which would have been more than the saving.
Is it worth 'trying it on'?

Can I ask how exactly do you word this email for a refund, do you just say something like:
I have purchased this item order number ...... and as it has dropped in price within 30 days of purchase I believe I am entitled to a refund of the difference according to your terms and conditions
Can anyone tell me please?0 -

I said something along the lines of...I purchased this item, it has now gone down in price by, I was very disappointed to see this and would appreciate a refund. Didn't make any reference to their terms and conditions, but I can't see how doing so would be a bad thing. Up to you how you word it really. I think I read somewhere that someone just emailed an order number and got a refund!0 -
I have just been given a refund of £9.01.

Have the CDs been delivered yet? If so, it's definitely worth doing. Even if they haven't it's still worth a try. As mentioned before they don't charge when items have gone up in the same order, so I doubt they'd charge you delivery.0
