Brilliant thank you so much for this top tip - we did most of our shopping via Amazon this year - I only expect to get a few £'s back but every penny counts - shame it will all go back on my hubbys card and not mine! tee hee!

great tip, thanks for this, didnt know you could do this and we spend quite a bit with amazon through the year so will be checking all orders from now on, have just got back £3 from our last order, shame didnt know before because we bough a swing which has gone down by another £6 but ordered it at end of november so dont think I can ask for that refund

Some of mine have been turned down because I haven't applied within 30 days for the refund. The post order price guarantee on the American site doesn't seem to specify when you have to lodge your claim. If the price dropped on day 29 after purchase, it would hardly give you a chance to claim the difference. I think the policy needs clarification, has anyone found the plolicy on the UK site yet as I'm wondering if they're just trying it on re the claim period or if that's actually specified ?.

This year I managed to get 14quid back .... I am very impressed with amazons quick replies. I tend to do a fair bit of xmas shopping with amazon but make sure you order around the 10th Dec so you can take advantage of any January Sales price drops. Comedy DVDs are ideal for this as Billy Connolly DVD for example is udually 12quid before xmas and say 7quid or so after xmas. So enjoy those comedy dvds over xmas at post xmas prices. [dvd rentall is perhaps the cheapest option!!!!]

Thanks OP. I bought spiderman3 for my nephew for xmas. It's been reduced to£5.98. I emailed Amazon and within 4 hours had a reply refunding £4!

Thanks for this. I've just emailed requesting £8 refund over two items purchased for my sons last month. One was from a third-party seller so I'm waiting on that too but the fiver was a straightforward Amazon purchase.

I'm off to email all my friends!

Thanks just had an email from Amazon to say they have refunded me £52-96 as the camera i purchased has reduced.Just like Xmas again:j

thanks for this one, have sent four requests for refunds amounting to about £20. will pass this on to anyone i know who shops on amazon.
