Hi first time poster here. I have around £6000 that I need to transfer to a 0% deal with preferably a 0% fee. Any suggestions. It is from a barclatcard platinum that I really need to pay off as hanging over me and paying nearly £300 of interest. Yikes0

The best one is of course with the lowest BT fee (e.g zero) and the longest duration. But it sometimes also means the hardest to get ...0 -
Ok so I checked my Experian report - all good. But I still got refused when I applied for the Halifax card!0

Well I went for it and applied for the MBNA card to shift my over draft (just a day after applying for my Barclaycard to shift my credit card debt) and to my surprise I was accepted - admittedly not half as much limit as the Barclay card but enough to shift my overdraft, and not to be forking out £30 each month (a pound for everyday I am in it)....so now I've consolidated all my debt into 2 cards- not paying any interest- cancelled my overdraft, and set up a DD so I will pay off my debt without falling behind on payments.....Thanks guys for your advice. Guess I thought having credit was bad......its not bad having credit- its how you manage it that can be bad........Financial management was not my forte it seems

I have debt on a CC currently around £500 and similar in an overdraft, I am wanting to consolidate & get them paid off, is there a 0% card that I can do this on? - from what I've read its balance transfer for CC & money transfer for Over draft...??0

I have just over £3000 credit card debt on a HSBC credit card. I also have a £1300 overdraft which I live in, again a HSBC account. What is the best way to deal with this debt. I never miss minimum payments but am paying high interest.0

Yes. Cards offering money transfers offer normal BTs as well.I have debt on a CC currently around £500 and similar in an overdraft, I am wanting to consolidate & get them paid off, is there a 0% card that I can do this on? - from what I've read its balance transfer for CC & money transfer for Over draft...??0 -
The best way is to deal with the underlying problem. I guess the interest isn't the main/only reason of you living in the overdraft. Without addressing the problem all other solutions can be only temporary.I have just over £3000 credit card debt on a HSBC credit card. I also have a £1300 overdraft which I live in, again a HSBC account. What is the best way to deal with this debt. I never miss minimum payments but am paying high interest.
Post your SOA on Debt-Free Wannabe board for some help.
Then try getting some 0% or low rate credit card or a loan. There are eligibility checkers in the relevant sections of this site.0 -
Hi there i'm new to this and am looking for help. I currently have an Aqua credit card with 4k limit which is almost at maximum and i'm trying to clear it by moving it to 0% interest free card by keep getting rejected due to a poor credit rating. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions as i'm currently paying 39% in interest. Any help would be greatful0

Why did you run up £4k on the Aqua card knowing their horrid interest rates? They are called credit builder cards for a reason, you use them and clear the balance every month!
Do you have anything to sell from the money you spent?
Can you increase your hours at work / get a second job?
If not, go to the link below and post up a statement of affairs because I highly doubt any other lender will give you a card with anywhere near that limit, especially for someone with a poor credit history.
