My golden rule for a BT card is simply NO FEE.
Even if for only a short period, pay off as much as possible then transfer balance to a new NO FEE card.
I have paid zero interest and zero fees on any credit card.0 -
This thread is 510 pages and thousands of posts.
I am looking for a thread I posted in in the Credit Cards board about Barclaycard Balance Transfer Offers some years ago, can't remember who started thread.
Since the forum migration some years ago, searching the forums for threads you have posted in is much more difficult.
How can I search the Credit Cards board for my posts ??
How can I search the Credit Cards board for my posts and with part/words of thread title ??

Thanks(I did a search on the general forums page, then added your name and the term 'credit cards' for the 'Title' — the latter two on the right-hand column.)0 -
you can also use a google filter search by typing in:
site:https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com "peter999" "barclaycard"
That will search for every post with your name and barclaycard in though it only finds 2 results - this and one from 2006 on benefits. You can change the search term in the "" to things like barclays etc - the "" forces google to include that exact search termSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
