Hello,

Was too late for the Santander offer, too many issues reported on here for the HSBC and i was cutting it late requesting the HSBC transfer before tomorrow's deadline (if anyone who replied to my previous post asks). 3rd time lucky for this offer i guess?

I've seen the next cashback offer is LLoyds/Halifax, however reading the T&Cs (and i suck at this) it looks like the cashback is only paid within the transfer period. The deal runs till 31 May but a non LLoyds/Halifax ISA to Halifax takes up to 15 calendar days. That means if i did a transfer request on Monday, its possible but also unlikely it will reach them in time to get the offer.

My question is whether the cashback is accepted on the point of requesting the transfer (like other providers) or the date that the isa is transferred/deposited. The latter of which i think i'll probably be out of time now.

To quote from the T&Cs that has me a bit concerned is:

You won’t earn cashback if:

  • a transfer you request completes after 31 May 2026

Thanks.

Check the full terms and conditions of the offer at the bottom of this page.

    https://www.lloydsbank.com/isas/cash-isas/cash-isa-offer.html

    It is very clear

'Your transfer in request must be made between 11 March and 31 May.'

So you just need to initiate the transfer by 31st - it doesn't need to have completed.
