Did you buy instore or online?

If you purchased instore, is the easiest thing to do simply visit the store and speak with the sales representative that helped you at the initial stage?

yes we bought instore and have been into store and the assistant gave us the phone number for aftercare and link to website, says he has no input in aftercare

Writing a letter is still a valid way of informing a retailer. Write one now and drop it off in store asap.

have a read though, we have already done that via the contact form. which gives no options to further comment on rights

I looked them up on a complaint resolution website but they surprisingly are not members, however the site did offer a telephone number and address.

You could ring them or send a letter by recorded delivery keeping a copy for your records. Template letters are available.
