My switch completed last week but I've heard nothing from Barclays about the switch offer at all. Hopefully I'll hear after my Direct Debits have been taken in the first week of May.

This makes no difference, the direct debits just need to be active (i.e. not cancelled) and have been set up on the old donor account and carried across as part of the switch.

Go through the eligibility part of the list and ensure you've satisfied all of the requirements and then add 9 weeks (45 working days) to the date you fulfilled the last requirement (this could be the switch completion date or the date the total amount you moved into the account exceeded £2,000) and you should have your bonus cash sometime by then.

What about the eligibility confirmation text? Seems like many of us either haven't received this or it's taking weeks. The one person on here who said he received it seemed to think it coincided with the direct debits having been paid out. Might be a coincidence though or is this part of the verification? My switch completed two weeks ago and I've checked the terms & conditions a number of times and should be eligible but still no confirmation text received as yet.

Same for me. One DD has now gone out. The other one will be on 25th this month. Will see if I hear anything then.

It's a long time since I last did a Barclays switch offer so I can't remember when or even if they send out texts regarding them. Perhaps someone who's done one recently can chime in here?

It's not a requirement that payments be taken from the DDs, they just need to be active and have been carried across as part of the switch, so I can't see that making any difference.

I think that was me. I didn't seem to think it coincided, because Barclays paid out the £200 very soon after the two DDs were taken.

Yes, it quite probably was just coincidence.

I’ve just had the text to say I qualify despite doing everything to qualify weeks ago. The 2nd direct debit is due out on Friday. They will have received instruction from the company I am paying on Friday by now to pay it. This may just be a coincidence, or this might be something they do check. Guess we’ll never know

Yeah I've received it as well today and my direct debits are due out on the last week of the month or first working day next month. Took them 15 days from the switch confirmation text I received and 18 days after switch completion date and meeting all the criteria. Perhaps there's a backlog due to the Easter bank holidays. Probably also lots of people switching at the moment, as they currently have two switching offers available.

I too had the text this morning, saying bonus will be paid in the next ten days. So, clearly not waiting for my second DD to go out.

Received my text as well. Although I switched over an old current account with 2 active dd, I did trigger those dd to pay out again off the back of some comments in this thread, just in case. Unsure whether the timing is purely coincidental but no harm.

Anyway, glad I'm eligible for this, as I have received a switch incentive from Barclays in the past. I even took a half day to go in to a branch to finalise my application because I had old profiles and they had to manually merge them, or something.. the advisor was really struggling during our appointment 🥹
