Barclays £200 switch offer for opening a Bank Account (10/03/2026 to 28/05/2026)

I opened an account yesterday. One of the simplest openings I've done. Account is there on the app, and I have transferred in money, all ok.

I will start the switch in, from tsb later this week. One strange thing though. I've had no email or text from Barclays. Normally I would have thought you'd get a welcome message. Don't know if that's just normal for them , as I've not been a customer before.

These are the terms, conditions, and exclusions of the Barclays Bank Account Switch Offer (the “Offer”) for new customers who open a Barclays Bank Account between 10 March 2026 and 28 May 2026. These terms, conditions and exclusions are between you and us (Barclays Bank UK PLC).

The Offer

If you’re eligible, you’ll get a £200 CASS bonus paid into your new Barclays Bank Account when you switch to us using CASS.

Opened the account using their app.. All straightforward. I'm not sure of my eligibility for the £200, but it's worth a try.

I'm going to switch my Co-operative Bank to Barclays. Set up Barclays as a payee in the Co-op a/c, transferred £2100 out and the Co-op Bank blocked it as possibly fraudulent.🙄

Now trying to sort that out!

And now this "Our Online banking is temporarily unavailable".(Co-op)

I've now opened up the account with Barclays. Fully open, and have received the debit card etc.

I can see within the app, about switching another account into it. Nowhere does it mention the terms mentioned in this thread. No mention of £200 etc.

Just says you'll need the other account number etc, and then invites you to 'switch now'

?

Has anyone proceeded with this? Nowhere within the app does it mention any terms and conditions, dates, or anything about a bonus.

I can find the switch part, but it looks like if I proceed with that, the other account plus two direct debits will move to Barclays, but with no reward.

This gets ever more curious. Went into a branch to ask about this switch. At first, was told the only switches currently being offered are on ISAs. Showed them the link on here to the £200 one. Explained that it's not mentioned in the app.

Took them a while, but eventually they said, just do the switch in the app, and it'll be fine. I explained how that doesn't even mention anything about having to pay in £2,000 etc.

She said, just do it, and if you don't get the £200, come back in here and we'll give it to you. :)

So, I've just started the process, and in the app, it has a completion date of 8th April.

So, I await with interest!

I have a Barclays Amazon credit card which I applied for yesterday just for the £40 Amazon gift voucher. (Still haven't activated it yet as I didn't need to to get the voucher.)

Would anyone know if that excludes me from the above offer? I wouldn't be applying until nearer the end date.
