The first withdrawal in any year would be treated as an early account closure if it took the account balance below £100, as this can only be done by closing the account. If the first withdrawal is partial (keeping the account balance above £100), then it would not be treated as an early closure as the account would remain open. But the quoted text is a bit confusing as you cannot close the account early and maintain a £100 in the account.

Could be a temporary pause to let them catch up with applications sumbitted already.

I hope you're right! I didn't go for the 6% until they set up the 6.5% one…thinking it would help the admin! Perhaps I should reconsider that methodology for the future haha….also I applied last night at 10.53pm but have heard nothing further back beyond the generic email after applying….

I’ve had fixed rate accounts with thisbank. No trouble at all. The website is basic but functional so I’d recommend them. If you can’t find much info on them it’ll be because they were called J N Bank until recently.

Saffron
Saffron's Members month Loyalty Saver launched in 2025 matures during June 2026. This year's Members Saving Month is to be September. 'Members' are defined as anyone who currently holds a personal savings account with the Society and has maintained a balance of at least £100 for 12 months or more.
If the 2025 Members Saving Month account is the only account you currently have with Saffron, you will need to open an additional savings account before your 2025 account matures and fund it with a minimum of £100 and maintain that £100 until the September launch (if any). I think the most suitable account is their 12 month Members Regular Saver as it can be funded with £100 now and then future monthly payments can be missed. Only 3.7%, but better than their other accounts and worth a punt. The small Saver only allows a monthly payment of £50, so June would not qualify.
This is my personal take on the subject and does not constitute financial advice.

I didn't go for both because it didn't cross my mind until I read some post on here and decided to apply for 6% as well this morning. Considering my long term RS experience this is unforgivable🙂 When there two versions of the same account "Can I have both?" should be the the first question to spring in mind. My screenshot says 20:15, so about the same time. I haven't received any emails.

I hope you're wrong. I been with them donkeys years and always bookended RS each year (when they were decent) but the fact there is a hiatus between decent RS been launched means they'll have definitely moved the goalposts (to tie in with Savers week).
I don't see how, morally, they can expect you to keep that level (I've got a residual tenner in an account as my RS has already matured) just incase they launch a decent product.

I didn't know about £100 requirement. I've already morphed my Members into Small. Am I too late? Do you know if it is £100 balance every day or per month?

WOW! That was quick. Lets hope its a backlog application issue. I did apply for both very last night, received the confirmation emails, and they're still pending in my account @ 7pm today. I know I had to wait a few days last month when I applied for a product with them, so it'll open when and if it opens 😅.
