Re. Monmouth BS 13th payment:
A previous RS did not specify a max. balance, so people sent a 13th payment, which was rejected; after complaints, Mon BS accepted that they were in the wrong, and the 13th payment could be resent - since then, however, they have (AFAIK) always stipulated a max. balance, so I would suggest that it's highly likely that if you try to exceed that, it will be rejected.

Re. Teachers' BS
Applied yesterday, and have now received an email (the second one), which has confirmed account and online login details - can't see if COP works yet, as Bank of Scotland''s online banking seems to have gone down…

Teachers BS
I called them today stating that I've applied on 1st June, but didn't receive any confirmation e-mail. The CS person assured me that the page at the end of application saying "your application has been successfully submitted" is a valid confirmation, otherwise the page would display "application failed". She suggested that I should wait for few more days, the staff is very busy processing applications and delays are likely. So there is some hope for me.
I've also asked if they will need a proof of my teaching status. The answer was - "no, we don't need that".

I've got an email with my user ID and activation key but when trying to activate after getting the one time pass code it is saying my details aren't recognised...
Do you use your user ID they emailed and then the password (I think) I set when registering in order to activate? Or do I need to 'register' again?

You use the user ID from the email and the password you created during the application to 'login'; you're then asked for the activation key, and finally an option to receive an SMS or phonecall to get an OTP, which when inputted, should get you in.

Teachers BS RS 6.5%
Successful application yesterday with email to confirm. Second email today confirming USERID and Activation Key, plus Account Name (Yourself), Sort Code and Account # (Generic NatWest) and a Reference #.
Logged on OK using USERID and password set up on application and tried to add the account, but asked for 10 digit # ….. that was not in the email, so gave CS a ring.
I was told they do not give out the 10 digit account number until the account is funded and the account will be fully set up once they have received the first payment and added to the online system. The Reference # in the email is a temporary # for the first payment only (starts REG…). You can use the 10 digit # for subsequent payments, # will arrive in an email after they have received your first payment.
I asked about the disappearance of both RSs, CS said they had to pull them as they were "swamped" but they might resurrect one or both once they have caught up with processing. It was told to keep an eye on the website and if the 6.0% one reappears I would be allowed to apply for it.
Santander COP didn't like the temporary REG reference when I tried to make the first payment, but I went ahead anyway, making sure I had screen shots at each stage.
Hope this helps other forumites.

Teachers.
Doh! I was getting the same problem because I was just using the details from their email rather than the password I created. I note from the email that they say not to send funds by bank transfer until the following day, so that's what I'll do as COP should work then.

Got it, thank you - not sure what was happening on my phone with entering the details but worked on laptop fine and I'm in and send the first deposit.1 -
I applied for the 6% Teachers RS on Monday. No email or other communication received since then.
I wasn't worried as an existing member - I was logged in when I applied - and could see the application showing.
However, that reference/entry has now disappeared!

Makes me think, could it be the same for all who applied from the portal? I'm in exactly the same situation. logged in and applied on Monday, no communication since then. Most people on here applied as new customers and got the emails and their accounts are opened.
