I applied late night on the 30th - confirmations received. Nothing showing in my already active Trenchers online Portal from last month. I called Teachers BS late this afternoon and they said that they've been so swamped with applications that it's going to take them around 7 working days to get through the back log. I'm assured my applications have been received and accounts will be opened in due course with confirmation of initial funding details being sent by email with RS accounts being shown online after the initial deposit - This is exactly what Teachers BS did last month and all was fine when funds were sent to another account I opened with them, but it didn't take as long 😅.

I applied as a new customer just after midnight on the 1st and received my 'registration successful' email today. Have now logged in, but awaiting for the 10-digit reference number (having now sent first payment, as per email instructions) to arrive via email so that I can then add the account, if they don't do it by tomorrow.0 -
Yes, I was told that they are very busy with these applications. And I think very busy with answering phone calls too. I couldn't get through in the morning, tried several times but was directed to call back feature which I don't like using because I'm not always available to answer calls, it worked at about 1pm though (no queue). I found it a bit strange that she asked for my name instead of telephone password, did they ask you for telephone password when you called?
Anyway, it sounds promising and I wish I applied for both versions, I think it is unlikely that they will relaunch.

I too applied as a new customer on Monday night and have not received anything - I have a screenshot of the successful application, so I guess it's just a case of waiting for them to work through the backlog.

I applied as a new customer yesterday morning. Their application form glitched out part way through and I had to start everything again from the beginning. Maybe their systems were overloaded but I got there in the end.
I received the confirmation of registration email immediately after applying and a further email this morning, containing my user ID and account funding reference.
From reading the comments above it does seem that new customers are being prioritised over existing ones.

Thanks Bobble that has been my experience, as a new customer, so far too. Apart from it being the normal 6% account I applied for and Nationwide which coughed a little on the initial payment.
To add I funded mine at lunchtime today (£250) and no sign of the transaction (or indeed the account) online yet.
They have successfully added my nominated account though.
I'll check tomorrow.
My OH did the application at the same time and has received nothing yet.

I applied as a new customer a couple of days ago, got a reference number at the end of the application with a message saying the application had been successfully submitted and would shortly be reviewed by a member of their team, still no e-mail yet.

Ditto … nothing for Mrs Bobble yet. She is seldom
phasedfazed by banking delays … she leaves that to me to do on her behalf 😀Compiler of the RS League Table.

Unless I misunderstood what they meant, the emailed instructions said to wait 24 hours before funding by bank transfer because the new account won't be fully set up ready for the payment to be allocated to it. And the new account itself won't appear online until it has been funded.
