Is it me or are decent rate RS getting snapped up quickly and not lasting too long nowadays?

Teachers BS
Two confirmations received (though only one account applied for as not a teacher) so it looks like I got someone else's missing one as well 🤣
Applied just before 8am today but no account details yet.

Glad I didn't refresh the page I'd opened before lunch before completing the application!
And removes any temptation to apply for the teacher version on the basis of invigilating some entrance exams 10+ years ago…

The same here. All I had was a confirmation at the end of application process. I took a screenshot of the page. I’ll wait until tomorrow, if I don’t receive anything I’ll call Teachers BS to find out what happened to my application.

I am looking to transfer some money into a 1 year fixed rate saving account
Looking at the top of the chart there are MBNA, Recognise and thisbank.
Do you have any recommendations? It seems like with Recognise all the money has to be transferred on opening the account? that can be a bit inconvenient for me, but apart from that, would you suggest any of them?
Thank you

Glad I took a screenshot too!

The first withdrawal in any year would be treated as an early account closure if it took the account balance below £100, as this can only be done by closing the account. If the first withdrawal is partial (keeping the account balance above £100), then it would not be treated as an early closure as the account would remain open. But the quoted text is a bit confusing as you cannot close the account early and maintain a £100 in the account.

Could be a temporary pause to let them catch up with applications sumbitted already.

I hope you're right! I didn't go for the 6% until they set up the 6.5% one…thinking it would help the admin! Perhaps I should reconsider that methodology for the future haha….also I applied last night at 10.53pm but have heard nothing further back beyond the generic email after applying….

I’ve had fixed rate accounts with thisbank. No trouble at all. The website is basic but functional so I’d recommend them. If you can’t find much info on them it’ll be because they were called J N Bank until recently.
