Yes, I saw that. Not exactly clear though what counts as an "education professional", or whether they need any proof from your employers, etc. And what if I changed jobs after the account was opened? I.e. I wouldn't count as a "retired teacher" but does "ex-education professional" still count? I thought there would be some clear terms on their website stating who is eligible but can't find anything.

I think there are six rather than three - rs terms, general terms, fscs, charity, online terms & privacy - if all pressed, then "next" button appears… any chance adblocker or filters hiding some?

So happy too! I feel teachers are always left out so I'm very glad that this building society is doing something for us given its name! I'm going to sign up:)

I suppose there is no harm in trying (when I went through the process just now, there was a dropdown where I selected Educational Professional and I think if you started the application you will be able to see if there is "Supply" and hopefully there is - I hope it works for you! There was a non-compulsory bit where you could put your employer/organisation down - I put mine in there but perhaps you could put your supply teaching agency down there?)

Also can we open both the teacher version @6.5% and the "regular saver for everyone" @6%? I couldn't seem to find something saying if you are limited to 1 regular saver with Teacher's Building Society…

Funnily enough it worked now, no VPN. Now waiting to hear.

Is it true you can't make a penalty-free withdrawal from a 2-year Leeds Regular Saver if it's maturing later that calendar year? Mine's been open 23 months but I've just noticed that it says (for a subsequent issue no.)
One withdrawal per calendar year (including account closure) is permitted subject to the minimum balance of £100 being maintained. Further withdrawals can be made subject to 30 days loss of interest on the amount withdrawn0 -
I believe they connect your NI Number to the account which pulls up info regarding being in education employment, whether past or present, actively working, ex-education, or retired. I had no problem opening another Teachers product with the Teachers BS last month as they were able to connect my NI number successfully with past employment. It took a few days; around 4 for the account to be opened from application as they needed to check everything - Fair enough 🤗. I'm hoping that the Teachers RS @ 6.5% I've applied for this evening will be opened tomorrow and the same for the open to all RS @6%. as my details have already been verified and are already logged in my online TBS dashboard. It would be nice to get a couple of RS for June as I like to space RS maturities over the course of each month of the year, if and when I can.

I've applied for both this evening as they are 2 different Issue 1 RS products and the TBS system allowed me to apply for both when I logged in. I received email confirmation of application from TBS for them both.
