Tallies with my experience, I had the 30 Day Notice Issue 1 mature in 2024. I had pretty much emptied it by the end but at maturity, took all but £1 out to retain membership and assumed that was it except a few pence being added each year. Went online to get my account number to note on my Issue 3 application, only to find £8.46.

Presumably those who have another membership maintaining account or who are happy to close the account as soon as it is no longer a RS3 (as the account does not allow early closure) will be able to force the trailing interest to be paid earlier by doing that.

    Hinckley & Rugby RS I3

The T&Cs state: "Interest will be paid to the account on 1 December each year" so I'd anticipate that it will be. It's rare but there are a few BS' that do this mid term e.g., Tipton last week on 30/10 is one.

It becomes an instant access account at maturity and continues to run so if we don't want to wait until 01/12/27 we'll need to close the accounts manually.

Similarly for the 2 year Manchester BS RS issue 1.

    Tipton App issues.

A fix has been found, finally. I received the email with instructions late this afternoon and I'm now up and running. The message was individualised such that I imagine they are being done one by one, so if you were in the same boat but haven't had the email yet, I expect you'll receive it soon.

Can you make a 13th payment to the Dudley Festive regular saver?

Also, l accidentally made an 11th payment (standing order) to Furness 160th anniversary RS, and it looks like it's been accepted 👌

    Dudley Festive

The maximum operating balance is £3250, so 13th payments should be ok.

Tipton BS - Just for info

Got clarity on the Save & Grow RS in branch yesterday. It is still available on branch visit. It's not listed on their website in either available accounts or closed issues. The app version is listed as NLA.

I have the app version from the short few hours it was available. I was NOT permitted to open the branch version on a visit.

    Tembo

Not very impressed with Tembo , so far. The App initiated payment (last month) took ages to arrive... I wondered if the delay was because it spanned a weekend. The Direct Debit transaction definitely didn't have the weekend as an excuse, therefore I'd be interested to know why a payment which leaves early on Monday only shows as credited mid-afternoon on Wednesday.

So .. next month, there is going to be a Tembo Speed Race.

I will send approx half via DD on the 1st, and the other approx half via the App on the same morning and see which is eventually credited first.

    Place your bets !

I made an 11th payment into Furness's 160th on purpose, as it's not disallowed in the T&Cs

I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?
