I keep my FD account sat at £10 apart from the day before the RS needs funding. I forgot to pre-fund the current account last month and the RS was automatically fully funded by standing order making me overdrawn - I had this message pinged through so brought my balance back up to normal the same day

Because of their stance on environmental issues.

Ecology hasn't been good for ages (if ever)

I have £500 overdraft facility with FD. When my balance goes down to -£250 they send a message that I won't be charged, but when it goes below -£250 the message says that I have to restore the balance before midnight in order to avoid charges. I'm not sure how it works, what are the benefits of this extra £250 overdraft if I still need to replace this money on the same day?

I thought you were going to show us a picture and you did, of Loughborough Building Society 😁😂.
Here's mine:
I decided to pop in as there were so many comments on the thread, I thought maybe a new RS was available 🙃. At least the thread keeps active 😉.

For the last 4 years I've been following the method to apply for the next FD regular as soon as the maturing one disappears from the app. Each time the new one has started 1 day after maturity, and my standing order date has moved to 1 day later for the following year.
So in theory your next one should start on Friday 24th.

FD
My last renewal (nearly 12 months ago) started without a gap so the standing order date didn't change.

My FD RS disappeared overnight and I've put in the application for its replacement. Be interesting if it can be set up with the old payment date of 24th.

Yorkshire BS early renewals.
Forgive me asking something that's probably somewhere in 159 pages, but does anyone know if there are any quirks with closing a YBS regular (home, or normal,) then opening a new one to preserve the year or two. E.g. I thinking of the tips for Lloyds/Halifax Regulars to enable opening a new account to elongate the time.
