Octopus Fixed Tariffs 2026
Comments
-
Just listened to the video by Greg.
Pretty clear what he says:
"The good news is, first of all, if you are on a fixed tariff with Octopus, we will just cut the daily rate from April 1st, when the government changes kick in."
The only issue being, I thought the government changes were supposed to change the unit rates not the daily rates,
I'll just take the opportunity to post a more direct link to the same youtube video as it may assist some reaching it:
CEO: Energy Prices Are Dropping April 1st 🙌 Here's What You Need to Know - YouTube
Edit:
Having now had the opportunity to actually watch the video, rather than just listening to it, I see there is a delayed, onscreen text splash that says the reduction will be to unit prices. (contrary to what Greg says.)

Thanks. So that's showing 0.33p off gas units and 3.51p off electric units. Almost exactly what we are expecting (tad low on electric).
Also useful FAQ from Octopus
