You should get it, its not conditional on sign up date, seems to be worth 0.32p for gas, and a bit over 3.5p for Electric.

I'd been watching Outfox vs. current and latest Octopus rates and Outfox has been consistently better over recent months but there's been a noticeable jump in Outfox's latest March - on both Gas and Electric - so with costs rising plus the planned upcoming tariff adjustments not having early exit fees seems particularly useful right now.

Currently on an Octopus fixed tariff for gas and electric which ends in a couple of weeks and according to the energy club results on here I could save £347 a year by switching to the Eon next 15 month fix whereas I would be paying the same if I go onto the only available Octopus switch. Should it be a no-brainer to switch? Just feel nervous about moving companies in case of problems. I am aware of the £100 early exit fee. Any thoughts please?

If the sums add up, switch. Don't feel nervous about moving suppliers, especially not to a well established supplier such as E.ON. Just take note of the switch day (might be different for electricity and for gas) and make a note or take a photo of your meter readings on that day (or days).

    Octopus 12M Fixed March 2026 v3

Gone up.... And with £75 per fuel exit fees

@melb id be grabbing the cheapest fix available quickly if in your situation if risk averse. There is still a lot of possible downside to this

disappointing from Octopus. very high fixed rates and a £75 per fuel exit. seems they are looking to lock in on the back of a panic.

pure luck i got on the feb v6 just in time.

important to not miss the £75 exit fee too. people may miss it as usually Octopus don't have exit fee's.

@pfpf Yes forgot to mention that 👍️

@bristolleedsfan Octopus really going for it this week with making sure they are the most expensive. Maybe everybody needs to start looking beyond their 'excellent customer service'
