The existing fixes will get whatever the supplier has said they will get - from what I've seen most are just confirming they will pass on their own savings when certain fixed costs are removed from unit pricing. An increase (or decrease) in wholesale prices is a completely separate component of the price and will not affect this.

Pump prices risen here today. I filled up yesterday, as needed to. Checked local prices, several had same price. Today only one has the price I paid yesterday, all others higher.

I am currently on a 12m fix with Octopus until July. Fearing that gas prices will be considerably higher by then and bearing in mind Martin Lewis’ advice to fix asap, the new Octopus fix offered today will cost me just £15 more over the next year( based on same usage of course) but has £50 exit fee.
I am trying to decide whether to fix today( no exit fee to do so).

I jumped away from gas tracker on Monday afternoon. Looks like I was just in time to get on the Feb 2026 12M fix v7, no exit fees and 5.18p per unit from April (5.51p per unit before then).

I am kicking myself for not getting in in time for the Feb fix. I would have saved over £70.

Wow Octopus cant sit still, tariff I switched to on gas seems to be gone, they added 0.5p and an exit fee to it. O_o

I switched to it without hesitation as was cheaper than my current fix that was due to end in May.
