I'm confused! I have an existing Club Lloyds account and a few accounts I could switch from but not sure what options I have.eg

Do I have to keep that and open a different Lloyds account to switch into?

Could I switch my Club Lloyds to another bank then switch back?

Your existing CL account doesn't qualify for the offer, and annoyingly Lloyds make it really difficult to open a 2nd CL account. Hence the easiest way is to downgrade to a Classic account, and then open a new CL account, which will be eligible for the offer.

Once the incentive is paid into your new account, you can downgrade the new CL account and re-upgrade your existing account back to CL if you want.

I did try again, several more times, and eventually got all the way through.
The end result was I am to wait for their checks to be completed.
I've heard nothing at all and it's been 24 hours.

I checked my credit rating today and it shows several checks made by Lloyd's yesterday, so the applications must have got far enough to have registered searches.

Looks like they've been overwhelmed with applications.

Have you had any confirmation your accounts open yet ?  I had the same thing as you with waiting for checks and so far heard nothing 😕

    Still absolutely nothing.

Oh ok, at least I’m not the only one waiting I guess.  Don’t see what’s taking so long.  Hopefully no news is good news and will both hear soon with good news and new account details   🤞🏻

Anyone who's already signed up to the switch, can you select the actual switch date? The direct debit timescale is quite tight, and the closing date is 3rd Feb, some of my DDs don't leave till 1st Feb so would try to select a switch date after this if possible - or are you given what you're given?

Might have to set up the 30p DDs instead - how quick do these pay out? The website says around 5 working days which is fine, but again want to see the DDs paid out first before applying for the switch just in case.

    Thanks

I set up two 30pence DDs on 07/01, they appeared (as pending) on my Chase doner on 08/01. Now showing as "Next payment 13 Jan", so 5 working days (but unhatched chickens being tallied here.....).

Just for info: I set up two separate 30p DD’s with my account at NatWest a while back over a weekend with the intention of switching. The DD’s were set up on the Monday with the money taken on the Thursday, but by the following Monday I had a message from NW that the money was unable to be credited so was refunded to my account and DD’s cancelled. Didn’t follow up and just let it drop. Collection company not reputable?

Yes. When you start the switch you get an option to select the completion date. The start date will be 7 working days prior, so if you're careful you should be able to have the switch start on the 1st/2nd Feb by selecting a suitable date

Think it was last summer some time, can’t remember exactly. First time this has happened to a DD transaction. I’ll look back and see if I can find them.

Don't make too much effort, was just hoping it was a few years ago - kind of niggle you don't need when up against a time constraint. Might mitigate by adding another couple of quick DDs, probably utter overkill but this is a very generous switch bonus.

think I might do same and set up something else in case. I set up a 30p dd on Wednesday and it’s still not showing in my account yet ( some people saying it showed in account day after being set up )
would like to get the bonus if I can so will be cautious  and do more than need. But as I’m still waiting for Lloyds to confirm my account it’s all a bit up in the air at the moment 😕
