I keep getting:
"Sorry, something’s gone wrong with your current account application
Application failed due to a technical error."
Cleared cache, cleared cookies - tried chrome and edge and the OH's laptop...
I had downgraded a Club to a Classic to open a new club..
I'll try again later today but anyone else is having similar plse let us know.

Yes, I had issues too. See my posts earlier in this thread.soulsaver said:I keep getting:"Sorry, something’s gone wrong with your current account application

I didn't have a polite notice informing me of the failure though.
Eventually I got through to the end and was notified they would be completing their checks first, but even now I've still heard nothing.
I think they're just overwhelmed as it's a good offer.

I have an account ready to switch I have a CL account and linked CL monthly saver, can I downgrade existing CL current account to classic, keep the CL monthly saver and open new CL account for the switch or will I need to close CL monthly saver and open new one once new CL account is opened?0
-
Technically, you can do both. It might be safer to close the CL saver to have a clean sheet, and open a new one when you have the new CL. Depending on how much you have in the existing CL saver, you may win or lose a littte interest but securing the CL saver for longer might be more beneficial1

You only need a CL current account to open the CL saver. You can downgrade without affecting your existing CL saver.Catplan said:I have an account ready to switch I have a CL account and linked CL monthly saver, can I downgrade existing CL current account to classic, keep the CL monthly saver and open new CL account for the switch or will I need to close CL monthly saver and open new one once new CL account is opened?2 -
Have you had any confirmation your accounts open yet ? I had the same thing as you with waiting for checks and so far heard nothing 😕john_l_k said.
I did try again, several more times, and eventually got all the way through.
The end result was I am to wait for their checks to be completed.
I've heard nothing at all and it's been 24 hours.
I checked my credit rating today and it shows several checks made by Lloyd's yesterday, so the applications must have got far enough to have registered searches.
Looks like they've been overwhelmed with applications.Save 12K in 2020. Number 130 -
I'm confused! I have an existing Club Lloyds account and a few accounts I could switch from but not sure what options I have.egDo I have to keep that and open a different Lloyds account to switch into?Could I switch my Club Lloyds to another bank then switch back?0

You could opt for one of the other eligible accounts (that come with a fee), or downgrade your existing one and apply for another Club Lloyds.
You could, but that would be more effort and take longer.kuepper said:Could I switch my Club Lloyds to another bank then switch back?0 -
You could perhaps still switch the downgraded Club Lloyds, independently of the Lloyds switch offermasonic said:kuepper said:I'm confused! Still absolutely nothing.
