My switch is happening after ive been paid and bills paid so I wont have the £2,000 paid in so will get hit with the £5 fee. Can I just transfer £500 back and forth so I transfer more than £2,000 in? Would that work? All from one account or 4 different accounts? Thanks
I think (but don't quote me on it) that you won't have to pay the fee in January if you opened the account part-way through the month.

Does anyone know if you can stack this with the £50 refer a friend offer?

I'm doing this right now [referring someone, not applying] and was pleasantly surprised to get my referral bonus today [ refer-ee not got theirs yet] following the switch completing on 22nd...
During the process of referral-applying, it was slightly disconcerting to find that you didn't choose the account you wanted at the start, but they offered you accounts at the end, so i guess there's a small risk there, but the fact it was a referral was confirmed during the application process, and when choosing the club account at the end there was a "£250 switching bonus" logo highlighting within that option, so hopeful it all goes well and the switch bonus comes through promptly

On a different platform I've seen ppl say it works stacking them

I've not seen anyone here report that they have done this, but there's also nothing in the terms to prevent it. I would expect that it would be okay, especially on the back of what blue_eyes has said

Well the lack of anyone mentioning on here is what made me double check as you guys normally don't miss these things so i worried the lack of any mention of it meant that it was a known thing it wouldn't work

Yes it does seem odd it's not been discussed. The explanation may lie in the forum's policy of not allowing referral exchanges. That doesn't, of course, disallow general chat about referrals but such chat does sometimes lead to referrals being offered/requested, which isn't allowed and can lead to the discussion being deleted. So referral schemes are, since the forum referral ban came in a few years back, often not mentioned on here at all

As Sunnydaysaver said in a previous post you cant open a new club account even after downgrading an existing one to a Classic. This happens if you already have a joint CL. I called today and after a bit backwards and forwards questioning was put throug to some one who opened me a NEW CL account and completed the Switch from Santander over the phone. A bit longwinded and tedious but it can be done.

    Cheers!!!

I've left this quite late as I had an account with two DDs, so had to wait for a third. So I've downgraded my current CL account, opened a new one, started the switch process, which Lloyds say should be complete by 5th Feb. Fingers crossed.

I thought the switch had to complete by the 3rd Feb to be eligible for the incentive?
