I got an SMS a couple of hours after starting the Switch.

Hello i wanted to settle this debate once and for all so i contacted Lloyds via their facebook chat. Turns out you only have to complete the switch application by 3rd February and can pick any available switch date, 16th Feb included to be eligible for the £250. See attached (i have deleted my name for privacy reasons). Just thought I would post in case it helps someone :-)

Still no switch communication from Lloyds, but I do have a 'sorry to see you go' email from NatWest

My switch completed today and I've had a SMS from Lloyds to confirm.

yes, if you hold a club account, the apply section will only show the other account types. you can downgrade existing club and open a new one.

didnt get anything at all until today to confirm switch is complete.

yes, switch terms say you need to start switch by 3/2/26

Yes, but selecting a switch date of 16th Feb would mean the switch doesn't start until 5th Feb. The terms said "start a switch", which is ambiguous, and the post above confirms they actually mean "apply to switch".

Is it a 30 day wait from opening the account for the Disney+ account details?.
Anyone got their bonus yet?
My switch happened today. I haven't received anything from Lloyds, not that I need it.
One thing I'll miss from Monzo is when I'm transferring money I'll miss the small icon indicating the bank the account belongs to. For someone with multiple accounts it was helpful to know which one was which.

Qs on DDs for the switch
Their definition 'What is an Active direct debit
An active direct debit is one that has been paid to the originator in the last 13 months. This can be any frequency of payment: weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual. If the direct debit has been recently set up and the first payment has not been taken this is not an active direct debit.' made me think:
My Santander DDs had both an old/transferred PayPal + a new one from Jan 2006. Old one was never paid from Santander and showing nothing against 'Last Paid' and the new one was pulled on Monday - showing Date&Amount since.
- Do forumites think that going forward the above definition will become 'the norm'? for other switching banks/offers too? So far I don't remember any other bank detailing the DD requirement
- Any thoughts/info on whether the requirement is enforceable? Now that they are (both) visible under my ClubLloyds CA, my PayPal DDs are indistinguishable. They only show 'Paid' against them, no date or amount. In contrast, the DD on my (now downgraded) old ClubLloyds does show Frequency/Date paid/Amount - even Date due - how was this with your banks? [Someone earlier on this thread opined enforcement may not be possible, I would like to get more opinions]
Thanks in advance; apologies for going off-piste with this, but I didn't think this warrants a standalone thread as it is related (so far) for this switch only.
