Just to share my experience….
Waited until yesterday for the third DD to be taken from the donor account.
As an existing Club Lloyds customer downgraded it to 'Classic' yesterday.
Applied for Club today and requested a switch, scheduled on the 5th. Received an SMS instantly with a confirmation of the switch request.
So far so good. Fingers crossed…

I don't know if anyone will actually know the answer but worth asking here I guess…
I opened a new CL sole a/c via the Switch Service. I had an existing CL sole a/c. (I didn't realise you couldn't have 2 active CLs). So within 30 mins of opening the new CL I downgraded the old one to a Classic.
Hoping that isn't an issue and it'll stop the £250 incentive ?0 -
Account opened yesterday, switch due on 4th.
All e-mails related to it received, however no SMS regarding the switch. Have all the switchers here received such please?

I've had no messages other than than emails confirming my account 'openings' (the downgrade from CL to Classic got an account opening email).

Assuming they've actually let you open a second CL account (plenty of people on this thread have encountered difficulties opening a second) and you've switched into the new account, then you will be fine
