Hi.  Just wondering for those people that may have switched to Lloyds in the past for their previous incentives, how long after the Switch Completion did you receive the incentive? I know the T's and C's state within 40 working days on this offer. I was curious whether they typically stuck to that or had a history of paying out much quicker.  Thanks!
Previously it has been very quick, but I think they are allowing themselves longer this time so who knows.

Re above, we deleted that app but it seems to not be fully deleted.
Not how apps work (at least on Android), if an app is deleted it takes everything with it. Didn't understand your earlier reference to a "cloud" symbol - is this in the new instance of the app once you've installed it but before you've entered any personal details?

Regardless of the app, as you say, you (or rather your husband) is unable to open a new sole Club current account?

Would you mind just listing what accounts you each have open already?
My husband's phone is an iphone. After deleting the app, we went back to appstore and the Lloyds app has a cloud next to it! Tried installing that but it still thinks he is Julie! Deleted again and it has had the cloud symbol for several days. The accounts are one joint account classic and one classic in my sole name. And yes, nothing seems to work as it should. Think he will have to phone them which is very annoying and who knows if they can help or not! Thanks for your input.
Hmm, perhaps not the most helpful of features to back up the settings in situations like this. One thing you can normally do is go into the settings on your phone for the app and clear stored data, which should reset it to the state when it is first installed (I think iOS has this, Android user here).
Is that what the cloud symbol means in the Apple appstore? How can you go to the settings for an app that you've deleted? Or is that another clever Apple feature that I'm glad I'll never have to suffer?
For what it's worth, the cloud symbol next to an app in the App Store only means that app is owner but not installed on the device. It has no bearing to any data on the device or in the cloud.

what does "app is owner" mean?
    "owned" I'd imagine.

that doesn't mean much to me, either, sorry.

On proevious offers, Lloyds paid out before the switch was even complete. The 40 days is a new clause in the T&Cs, and the best we can do is to expect the payment within 40 working days of the switch

I have a current account with 2 DDs ready for switching but need a 3rd. What's the fastest DD to set up. and to get taken?
Guess - PayPal with linked bank account.

Or maybe https://www.30pence.co.uk/ (not used this one).
Would any payment made with paypal automatically count as a DD and would it still take a long time? Would it still count if the payment method was chosen as debit card (due to bank account option being greyed out) and not bank account, even if it's linked to the bank account?

Debit card funded payments are not collected by DD. They use the card.

I'm about to do the Lloyds switch and they have future switch completion dates into February.  If I choose a date like 9th February would I still qualify for incentive?  I'm assuming it's the date you sign up for the switch has to be before 3rd of February and not the completion date.  The date I would start the switch would technically be today?
SMS received just over a week after applying to switch (10 working days ahead of completion): "Your switch will start in 3 working days. Please contact 03456 025 293 if you have any questions. From the Lloyds Bank Switching Team".
My switch should start in 2 days, no emails or SMS yet.
I applied online not via the app.

I did it all online too. Perhaps there's some sort of threshold for how far in advance you select the switch date for them to feel the need for this extra SMS.

Despite signing up for SMS updates, all we've had is an initial text saying they'll keep us updated (via the app iirc rather than an actual SMS) and nothing since. Switch is due to complete tomorrow so I rang the switching team today to double-check it was actually happening. They confirmed it was. It would seem their SMS updates are few in number!

The switching team is on 0345 604 9956 - option 4 I think if enquiring about a switch in progress.

Also, when you ring, they finish the call by reading a script pointing out that the app, if you have it, has a 24/7 manned enquiry service, accessed (bizarrely - not a place I'd normally look for messaging!) by selecting the search function at the bottom of the app screen. Not tested it myself, but the implication seems to be you can ask about switch progress via that.

Well, I'll be testing out this enquiry service, because I've instigated a switch but have received no confirmation email or anything, and am now panicking that I've switched into the wrong account (i.e. Classic not Club, which doesn't get the bonus). And from what I can see, there's no way of knowing if you've got a switch in progress, either online or in the app.

Lloyds have sent me a letter (pretty sure I'm paper-free everywhere I can be) with exactly this information.
